This Samsung A13 will get fully unlock 60 days after activation. However, you can pick up a brand new Samsung A14 with better screen and selfie camera for only $40 if you are willing to wait 180 days for it to get unlocked.

And switch to T-mobile prepaid, and pay $40~$60 per month etc.etc.

Getting the A14 phone itself is only $40 (the first month). Once the phone is unlocked, you may use it with any carrier, including TracFone.

There are more cost-effective deals (under $50) for those who care about the service plan and/or TracFone reward points.

This is a great deal. Walmart has just the phone for $119. I actually was going to buy one there but found the QVC deal with all the extras. I have been a Tracfone user for many years with no problems.
I don't need the absolute latest phone and I am one of the few people left in the world who can breathe without a cell phone in my hand 24/7/365.

I ordered the A14 also, hope it has all the right frequencies for Tracfone after it's unlocked...

Like A13, A14 will be widely available in all US carriers. VZ already offers it at launch and TracFone (owned by VZ) will soon introduce it. But they do need to clear the A13 inventory first. Smilie

Hope youre right, but sometimes carriers have their special model variation and those are all under the same broad model A14. -DL suffix used to designate TF specific models.

Yeah to me the bigger appeal of this deal is not even the phone so much as that it comes with the year of service.

Does it have a physical SIM, could you remove the SIM card from the Samsung a13 and put it in a different phone?

Yeah I mean this is definitely a super budget phone but it comes with a year of service. Basically free phone and you're paying for the service.

Oh that was not a ton of service, but someone that's homebound and using Wi-Fi all the time will not go over 1.5 gigabytes of data typically.
