Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

I heard a Tesla stock analyst on CNBC today and he mentioned March 1st as the cutoff date for the $7500 credit. I might have to cancel my order if my car is not ready by then. The tax credit was the only reason I decided to get in on the deal
I've heard stock analysts say many incorrect things. What makes him an authoritative source?

2019 Honda pilot. $500ded, comprehensive and collision 100k/300k from progressive is $254/6mo. New progressive quote replacing Honda for MYLR is $715/6mo. My agent is running this now across many insurance companies in case progressive is one of those anti Tesla insurance companies. The downside is I save 10% having auto as a multi discount plan with my homeowners.
your 2019 honda pilot is worth a fraction of what a 2023 tesla 3/y cost.. elephant in the room is that your car doesnt cost as much to repair/replace as a new tesla ev.

go run a quote on a 2023 honda honda elite and see how much your insurance goes up by..

Ordered a MYLR on 1/19 via the website. No updates till now so called Tesla.

They mentioned I didn't have an address on my account/profile so that could be why I didn't get any update. Just FYI for people to complete their profile.

we get it that you're an ice shill and hate that tesla cars are getting a fp sd post.. i get it that your beloved japanese fossil fuel automaker are missing out on 7500 tax credit for making boring gas guzzling cars.. we get it.. but no need to thread crap.. go make your own non tesla sd post about efficient gas guzzling cars
Again, you don't understand the concept of platforms that a manufacturer can utilize in both EV and ICE vehicles. Tesla's ADAS was ranked 7th. EV or ICE is irrelevant.

All I heard was he mentioned something about IRA and March 1st. I don't know if he's correct but as a stock analyst covering Tesla he probably know more than we do. I hope he's wrong otherwise I have some tough decisions to make

And this comment is about informing those potential buyers about the average rating of ADAS they are about to purchase. Most relevant but hard for some to swallow.

Download the form it's on tower website and fill it and notarize it. Purchase orde , VIN you have to wait for Tesla to assign one. Once assigned , take screenshot and upload everything . Pretty basic stuff,
Thanks your replying to old post I found the purchase order and uploaded it.

I posted this in regards to the power of attorney.
I located Power of Attorney doc at tower: https://www.towerfcu.org/wp-conte...torney.pdf

Since it was not located in my Docs prepopulated with data. Looks like I can fill in the make, model vin etc.
I assume the field labeled "account no:" is the Vehicle Loan Application #?

Can someone with pre-poulated Power Attorney from Tower confirm? I am going to go get it notarized tomorrow.

About 99.999999999999% of this thread is not useful, but I believe if what he said was factual it would/will be confirmed here.

Ahhhh! Ok so the "Account no" is the reservation number from Tesla and not my loan # on Tower?
Wish they would have worded it correctly, confused me. Thanks for the feedback!

I haven't, but it should. If it doesn't, Tesla showroom will give you one. If you go to the J1172 adapter page on the Tesla accessories store, it clearly states that all new Tesla vehicles come with it (https://shop.tesla.com/product/sa...ng-adapter).

You can only use this with public L2 chargers. Or your home L2 charger like Juicebox. You'll want the $250 CCS charger adapter (https://shop.tesla.com/product/cc...r?web=true) if you want to charge at EVgo and other CCS fast chargers.
