Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

What do you recommend if selling a 2019 Tesla with FSD?
Seems like most of these sites don't factor in that FSD.
I know (at the moment) that FSD is fairly useless, but it's not worthless. It's a $15k add-on, even if I only get 50% of that value. Seems like these car buying sites don't even acknowledge it.

Thoughts for that?
Assuming you are 2019 HW3 since you mention FSD so you must be HW3...Don't sell. The changes over the last few years are very minor. Just keep and enjoy your telsa. Might be worth the jump in 2024

Private party. FSD at trade in is worthless to them; only worth money to private buyers.

I'm trying to get rid of my 2021 VW ID.4 Pro, but at the same time I need to know when the delivery date is for the 2023 Tesla Model 3 RWD.

I didn't know this. I had read "next year" so I assumed 2024 for those vehicles. Further solidifies their position on them and removes my concern that my MYLR won't have them.
Ya you can even see they USS removed in the product images when you go to order the S/X on Tesla.com

Have you seen any reviews of the MYAWD? Biggest concern for me buying this MYLR. I just wonder about their cameras...

Correct Elon said its not financially viable to retrofit HW4 (FSD 2.0) into HW3 (FSD 1.0). But HW3 is still FSD and is 200-300% safer than a human. You can always wait for the next thing to drop. HW4 will be sluggish and buggy at first. And by the time they iron that out you'll suggest we wait for HW5...

FSD is FSD. There is no 1.0 or 2.0

I've read ideas that there may be new cameras especially in the Chinese MYAWD, 4680, magnetic center console. People are claiming new camera housings now on US M3.

You are a resident for tax purposes. Did they ask for any immigration docs ? Usually they don't may be others can tell what docs they provided ?
Some lenders don't prefer to deal with loan defaulters who might have to leave the country on short notice and never return. Hence they prefer citizens or permanent residents.

Quote from Elon in 2021...
"I'm confident that HW 3.0 or the FSD Computer 1 will be able to achieve full self-driving at a safety level much greater than a human, probably at least 200-300% better than a human. Obviously, there will be a future HW 4.0 or Full Self Driving Computer 2 which we'll probably introduce with the Cybertruck, so maybe in about a year or so."

I have the new camera housing on my 11/22 build Model 3. I haven't seen any Model Y in person or online with the new cameras.

He's describing the hardware "FSD Computer". Not the software. FSD is still FSD.

What do you think is the purpose of the new camera housing?

After all the gimmick and hype it's a damn basic badly built overpriced car 🚗.. so some folks might enjoy the much nicer gas vehicle for 50k
I also have a new $50K gas vehicle. I enjoy the Tesla a lot more.

I'm not entirely sure. I came from a 2020 Model 3, and my 2023 Model 3 camera image quality looks about the same.

I haven't seen or read from anyone online that has discovered a difference that translates into something you'd see in the car. However, they new hardware is relatively new. I expect someone to take it apart and compare, at some point.
