Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

lol no one spends north of 50k then calls it a crap..if anything they try to justify any shortcomings. just sour grapes. then again, if you did it just proves your ineptitude in purchasing a car.
Bought it without a test drive since my Q7 was totaled last week. Needed a car ASAP.

nothing unique about a 80k gas guzzler that loses to a 47k performance ev. that 80k m3 has the same interior build quality as the same budgetted bmw base 3. are you saying you like to spend an extra 40k to flex the plastic m3 badge instead?
Loses how? The M3 destroys the Model 3 in any sort of spirited driving. How many times can the Model 3 slow down from 120 mph before the brakes are cooked? 2? 3?

Even if the M3 does have the same interior quality as a base 3 Series (it doesn't), that is leagues better than the joke Tesla interior. I cannot believe anyone can argue in good faith that Tesla has passable interior quality. If you don't care about it, fine, you do you, but Tesla interiors are among the worst in the US market.

I'm clearly arguing with someone who has zero performance driving experience. Stop light racing doesn't count.

This car is soulless and crap. Picked up my Model Y last night and I must say, I'd prefer a Corolla. Sure it's fast but nowhere near fun to drive at all. Save your money and buy a golf cart that's what this basically is.

Incidentally, my MY has ample soul and zest, but to each their own.

Tesla playing games now. Ordered 1/12 white with white MY. Initial estimate Jan to Feb, changed to Jan 31 to Feb 8 and now Feb 10 to Feb 23. Tesla as a brand losing trust..
LOL wtf hyperbole much? Losing trust because your date gets pushed back? I would think losing your steering wheel would be a cause to lose trust. LMAO

Tower gets major brownie points from me. My loan processor was scheduled to be out of the office the remainder of the week for a funeral, but he calls me today and finishes up the funding process for delivery of my MYLR on Friday. If he hadn't have done this I would have had to pay cash and then go through a re-finance process.
What's the rate you got? Tower faq says you have to be citizen or permanent resident. I am work visa, not sure if I will be eligible to get loan from tower
