Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

4.99% - My check arrived yesterday. It could be another 0.25% less if you were buying an EV from a traditional dealer and use the car buying service.

For reference, my other two Teslas with DCU are 1.49% and 1.74%, but of course I didn't get the loan in 2022-3.
Damn. Thats quite a bump from last year.

The best rate I can get is 3.75 from my local credit union. Should I just go for it and stop wasting time looking for more options?

3.75% is isn't bad. GCFCU and Tower are lower than that, but for both you would want to get a loan elsewhere and refinance as they are slow & backlogged.

Adelfi I think is around 3.75% as well. Some local CUs have had rates in the 3s as well like yours.

Everyone should just wait until march 1st to see what the announcement is, if you haven't already ordered. Most likely you won't get the car on time any way if you purchased now.
n lose out on blanket 7500 tax credit and not to mention increased msrp prices.. only fools would listen

Congrats. My date was recently revised to 2/7-2/19, it's been slipping every day, but it's currently 2/9-2/19 as of this morning. Ordered 1/15 morning. I do expect a VIN assigned soon, but I'm not in a rush either. Need to clean my garage to fit the 2nd car.

Random, but I did get a text message from Tesla yesterday, informing me of the new 80K limit for Model Y, and for me to add any upgrades like color, wheels, etc., if I was considering it.
