Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Have you had any status update? Mine went to pending and they requested addyional docs like DL. They responded fast to messages on app status page. Once i provided copy of dl, i emailed them and got response within few hours. Maybe they got tons of new applications lately? Worth to call and ask
I did call them. The answer was we'll get to it when we get to it but politely said.

He said if your car is ready first then try to have it refinanced almost back through GCFCU. As long as the mileage is under 5K, they consider a new car still.

Now this whole lending to Florida residents only is throwing a wrench in that idea of refinancing it back through GCFCU

Need to pay MyQ app in Tesla??
And any other vehicle that supports it... the MyQ people charge after the first month for the service.

If you'd prefer not to pay the MyQ people an ongoing fee, for $350 you can have Tesla instead add homelink hardware to the car and use that with no further cost.

that's what I do and the MyQ auto open/ close was flaky during my trial, I wouldn't pay a buck a month for it.

EDD: 2/27 - 3/11

I want to push delivery back as much as possible, at least til the last week of March.

Would choosing 7 seater and/or tow hitch help delay delivery?

I used MyQ app on the phone.
I'm very disappointed because even my old car 2009 van can have "integrated" homelink to control the garage.

My pick up date is 4th of Mar. MYLR. Is it worth letting go of the current order and placing a new one for HW4? Assuming I will take a 3.5k hit for reduction in federal tax credit and $500 in increased price.

I am planning on keeping this car at least for10 years and plan on using FSD subscription when road tripping.

What y'all think?
