Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Picked up my MYLR 5 Base from Springfield, NJ Yesterday
Smooth process - SA tells you car is outside and unlocks the doors
There is a clipboard with your name on dashboard of car
Check out car for as many hours as you want and then sign the paperwork on clipboard and hand it inside and on your merry way
Overall great quality, less noise than my Acura and Honda Accords, drove at 85mph and no noise/shaking/vibration/pulling
Noticed small panel issues(my Acura RDX had more panel issues)and left headlight slightly bulging out(in millimeters). I never checked or noticed this stuff in previous cars, only after reading this thread I was looking for smallest of imperfections. Created service request and pending confirmation

Good luck to everyone

btw, while I am waiting for Electrician to install 240v outlet, I used Tesla mobile connector with regular 110 outlet and charged overnight to 80%(13Kwh) not bad in case of emergency

FINALLY got my VIN#. Looks like I got an Austin build although I'm in Southern CA.
I went ahead and uploaded a copy of my insurance. Not sure what to do with the Plaid thing. I'll be paying cash. If I link Plaid to my bank account, will they take the money before I get to inspect the car? Also, my delivery date got bumped from March 9-23 to March 21-27 Frown

What are the thoughts on Premium Connectivity for $9.99 a month? Is it worth it?
