Your 100 percent right. People love Sony though. Why is beyond me. Putting g out junk LEDs now for 2 to 3 years
I think its durability that sets Sony aside. I've had a 47 inch for about 10 years now with no issues at all besides falling behind in technology. To each tho..

Old Sony was duarble yes before OLED. Ever since the X90H 3 years ago the LED line is junk.

This is an excellent deal. I have the 85", and absolutely love it. This panel gets bright enough to display HDR really well. As for the PS5, this TV checks off all the boxes. Same for Xbox. And Sony released an update that allows the TV to display at 1440P (2K) if you wanted to. Honestly, the closest thing you can get to OLED. I'm not saying it's on the same page, I said it's close enough. The local dimming zones do a nice job at handling contrast properly.

Pair this with an AppleTV 4K, and you are set!

I see the same anti comments in all tv post. Everyone's TV is better, TCL is better, Hisense is better, but then you go to those threads and there are people saying they are garbage, breaks after 12 months, motion is horrible. I stop listening to people and websites. I go to the stores and mess around with the settings and decide that way. Also look at people that actually bought the product for their opinion. If you read all the post most people are not happy with anything. Everyone priorities and eyes are different, so not everyone is going to like the same TV.

There are cheaper models that compare like the U8H and R646/655 but they aren't flat out better. The only better non-OLEDs would be the QN90 and X95J but they're much more expensive and at that price you might as well go OLED

Edit: I would like to add that at $1k vs $700 the TCL R646 is much better value. I bought my parents the 646 and it looks great, definitely at least on par with the X90k but the OS is still buggier and slower than the X90K and upscaling is clearly better on the X90k. Yes, comparing stock OS in 2023 haha but not everyone wants to buy a Apple TV alongside their brand new TV. The X90K is perfect out of the box

Looks like the full x90k line is back down to recent good sale prices at Amazon and Best Buy. Also, Costco has them for the same price, but with free extended warranty. Put in an order for an 85", might get a 75" too.

If taking advantage of 2 additional years warranty (7 total years) through Citi Costco card, must purchase before 1/22.
I had a Samsung 2007 LCD that never needed a warranty...i believe that is more important the high brand quality than any warranty

This is not a good deal at all when you can regularly get an LG B2 65 OLED from $1000-1100
I got my LG 77" A1 for $1600 shipped home and honestly. I can't compare with any LED TV

The step up model from 1 year prior, X95J was only $300 more than this for 75 inches last month. So this isn't so slick for only 65 inches at this price.
If the inflation goes up... You never know

Which TV are you talking about? How does it compare to an OLED which can be had for the same price or less as say an X95K?
Sony was always overpriced ...and people will pay the name..

Is this actually a good deal for the 75? Or just the 65?
prob the 75. not the 65 cause thats the same price as an OLED 65 . the B2 . i would get that . even the B2 should destroy this tv in picture quality
