This is how their website should have worded it, because people read this how they want to.
That just means make a new email like a gmail account.

Exactly! I think it's bs with all these stupid add-on pay channels.
Not just for new subscribers, this works for returning subscribers as well. Just canceled after subscribing, and they offered me another month free.😄 Two free months!👍
You prob don't even need to do that, just add a "+" sign and whatever to have the mail redirected to your main inbox. Paramount will see it as a different address, but it's the same inbox for yourself.
I've done for Sams club, prob could work here as well.
There are a lot of people who don't meet one or both of those things though.
