Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.

Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.

To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;

AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;

2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;

AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.

To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
23% return on investment, not bad at all.

$900 / $15,500 = 0.058

0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%
lol what? You're getting $900 for 90 days with $15,000. You need to redo your math.

Yes based on past experience you can close once the bonus had been deposited. Usually they won't care about early closure. Assuming you move funds out after bonus, why will they care to have accounts with Zero balances...lol
Thanks for the confirmation, thought I was crazy for a minute. idk how that guy I responded to got tons of thumbs up because I'm pretty sure you can just 0 out the account and close out after bonus payout like you said. SDers are like lemmings ooh this got thumbs up, lemme punch it too lol

I just redeemed this offer a few days ago when it was $600. Anyone know if Chase can honor the new offer instead?

Just an FYI here, early on Chase didn't have a problem with ACHs from a corporate account (what I used) counting as direct deposit. Now they seem to have a problem with it. I'm not sure what they count as direct deposit, as that is what we use for payroll, but maybe they want something from a payroll company (ADP etc). I have no idea, and neither did the clueless people on the support line. Oh and they tell you the app will show you what you need to do to complete the bonus, and for my wifes account, it just wasnt there, and again, it threw them off their script. Good luck

if it's within 21 days, Contact them via Chat or Phone and quote this new offer code. If you've not received the credit for the $600 offer yet, they'll upgrade you to this new offer.

Anyone got this response: "Your account was opened, but we are having trouble applying the offer".
What does it mean ? If I don't get this offer I don't want to go through this hassle.

The same day I opened the accounts I scheduled a $15K transfer from an external account. Later on I received a phone call from Chase informing me the transfer was rejected with no additional information. I asked if there was a daily transfer limit, but the Chase rep had no answer.

Instead I had to link my Chase Savings account to my source account and push the money through that way, but with a daily $3K limit (source account limit). Anyone else encounter this issue?
I haven't applied for this yet, but in doing some research it seems people run into issues when trying to pull money into the Chase account. Sometimes the account even becomes locked and requires you to call Chase and then they need to call your funding bank to do some additional verification. It appears pushing the money to Chase or doing a mobile deposit into the account via a check from your other bank are the least pain free methods. Here is a useful link for reference.

I just opened mine now, and I got the same message. There was another sentence after saying that they will email me once the offer has been applied.

If you use the mobile app, it will show your current progress on the offer. If you don't see it, it's a high chance that you don't have it with your account.

Where did you see that detail about closing the account within 6 months of opening? I don't see that on the promotion or FAQ page.

If I'm an existing chase account holder but haven't received any bonuses in the last 3/4 years would I qualify for this?

hey thanks for sharing. I see the 300 and the 200, nothing about the extra 400 offer in the app.

How do I track the bonus status from the app?

On the mobile app if you click on the account. Right below the box showing balance there should be a section with gift box icon saying "Your new account bonus". Click on that to track the status.
