The EB3A was available refurbished for $169 last month stand alone. This one is new and includes a folding 68W solar panel.

FYI...269wh literally means it only lasts for 1 hour with a 269 watt load. So about 2 hours 40 mins with a 100 watt load (without solar panels)

Dont expect much without having sunlight available.

This is equivilent to 2 ryobi 40v 4ah batteries.

Since Ryobi 40 volt batteries are actually 36 volts, the EB3A closely holds the same amount. That being said, $299.00 for a small but very well built power station and solar panel, represents the "sweet spot" in pricing. The panel alone is currently on sale at Amazon for only $129.00, so the power station is basically $170.00. This is an excellent deal, but if you need bigger capacity, get somehing else. Also, I do not believe the solar panel can handle rain.

Would that be a good camping/boating companion? Mostly charging phones and electronics (GPS, plotter/charter those kind of things).

I think it depends on how many devices and how long you plan to charge your devices. As the other poster noted, this is 268 wh. Let say you plug in a phone with 15w charging, you can charge you phone for about 16 to 17 hours?
So, depending on how much power your devices take, you can figure out how much usage you get out of it.

I use one of these with a tower fan for my daughter's volleyball games outdoors but inside a pop up shade. And it would last about 3 hours which is the duration of the games.

Thanks. I think it is enough for my needs.

Bluetti has poor/non existant customer service.

Good luck getting any warranty work done with them.

Communication with Bluetti is through email. A non-technical CSR is a go between the technical staff and the customer. They usually ask the customer to send a short video of the problem and offer a solution. Generally get a response within 24 hours.

I bought a Bluetti several months ago and had some technical issue, after instruction to try this and that couple times without resolving the issue they sent me a shipping label to send the unit back to Southern CA and got my refund after they received the defective unit. Just make sure to get all problems resolved within Amazon's 30 day money back window.

Ecoflow has better servicing for a quality brand.

I had a defective BF deal from Bluetti and took 2 weeks to get an inital contact, response time is 1 week between each communication, and they are giving me the run around.

Had to file a dispute and the process will take another 2 months.

Best to stay away from them.

If you don't need the solar panel, get the Golabs R300, right now it is $219 - $50 coupon = $169. I have had this Golabs for almost a year now and have been very satisfied with it. However, I will get an unit with higher capacity for my next purchase though.
The solar panel typically cost less than $100 at Homedepot.com.

I have had the same experience. Before making a purchase, I sent queries to each company, and Bluetti took about a week. I ended up buying an Ecoflow, and they typically respond very quickly…. Often within an hour, even on weekends. I won't say that their answers to technical questions were that impressive, but the response time, along with the 5 year warranties on their LiFePo4 systems are what swayed me. It gave me more faith that I'll get some traction if I ever have a problem.

is it ok to keep this plugged into a wall outlet for emergencies? I would probably charge small devices with it overnight.

This is unintelligent comment. Why would you need to contact them if you are within Amazon' return period. People here will be more interested in real customer service which begins after 30 days.
