I asked this in the antonline thread, so apologies for double posting, but does anyone know if these Legions can/should take 64GB of memory? The specs say 32GB max, but the they also say the m2 slot is 1tb max for additional storage and I've read that some have put in a 2TB.
Just wondering if 64GB would be overkill or possibly not work (would want for video editing/encoding).
Also, anyone who wants to chime in on this 6800h 3060 vs the 6900hx 3070ti for $240 more, specifically in relation to the assumed difference in video rendering/encoding times would be great.
Walmart is definitely an easier return and has the AllState Protection Plan, so somebody talk me out of it (I will not be paying $2000+ for a newer 4000 series GPU).

I have the 5800H version with 3070 and I put some Ripjaws 64GB DDR4 3200 in and it's showing up in System Information just fine. I also put a 2TB SK Hynix Gold P31 m.2 NVMe in the extra slot and it shows up fine as well.

The reason they say that, is that a larger SSD has chips on both sides and may not fit in the case, does your 2tb SSD have chips on both sides?
I really would like to put 2 4tb ssd's in this and will probably get the one with a 3070ti if I can do that.
I know for sure that the electronics one has enough room for 4tb ssd's tho, so I might get that one.
I really like that this has 3 usba and 3 usbc ports tho.

How are you liking yours so far? I have the same unit and I have to say the 16" 500 nit screen on these Lenovo laptops is next level. I couldn't ever imagine going back to a standard 15.6, 300 nit screen.

I've only turned it one twice so far. Once to set it up, and once to verify the upgrades. I did notice the screen's awesomeness right away. Its default zoom level was set to 150% in Windows, which looks perfect. I changed it to 100% and thought it was a little too small, but I may still like all that real estate on the 16" screen. I was mostly impressed by how easy it is to access all the components for upgrade and how well-built the machine is. The ram slots and SSD slots are right there after removing the bottom cover and the slots are protected with their own covers. I didn't like the lack of USB ports on the sides (only one on each side is limiting). I also wish it had a display port output in addition to the HDMI. Overall, though, 3 thumbs up!

I cancelled my Allstate plan and went with the impressive and reasonably priced warrant option Lenovo offered. Not quite as cheap but I feel better knowing Lenovo will take care of it

Does it have a ton of black light bleed at 100 percent in a dark room?
When you plug a usbc to dp cable into an external monitor, does it connect to the GPU directly? Or to the GPU through the igpu?

3 usb a and 3 usb c is better then pretty anything else I've seen.
All the USB C ports are dp 1.4 ports.
Could you test it out for me and see if the USB C to display ports connect directly to the GPU? Or if they connect to the GPU through the igpu.

Do you think I could jam a two sided one in there?
Is there and kind of shrouding or protective coverings I could remove that would make it fit?
