This was FP a few days ago. You can check out that thread over here to find answers to questions or queries you might have.

There was some uncertainty about whether this comes with a 165Hz or 240Hz refresh rate. It was confirmed by the members here who ordered and received it that this particular model comes with a 165Hz display. The members also confirmed that the DDR5 RAM was in 2x8GB configuration.
Personally, I would go with the Lenovo Legion. I have had very good luck with the Legion line of products and the system usually stays pretty cool. I wish the power cord / brick wasn't so big but nothing you can do about that.
I think for gaming, the 3070 with its 8gb of memory will outperform the 3060 and its 6gb even with the newer cpu. The 2022 Ryzen 6800 H really does not perform all that much better than the 2021 Ryzen 5800H, except for its integrated GPU, which isn't really a differentiator here because you already have a dedicated Nvidia GPU that is much more powerful. I think by Labor Day we will see a L5P with a 6800H AND 3070Ti GPU for $1500 or less, so, on a relative basis, it's probably worth waiting for that. With that said, $1199 for this unit is certainly a good value as well.

The real question is, Will Lenovo release the Legion 7 Gen 7 laptops anytime soon? They were supposed to be released in June sometime. I have been waiting a few months now since the specs and system look awesome but I might need to go with the Legion 5 if the 7 isn't going to be released this year.

The gen 7 Legion 5i Pro that was launched several months ago is still elusive unless you want a 3050 Ti at an exorbitant price. So who knows when the gen 7 Legion 7 will be available.

Serious question - is the 3070 that much better then the 3060? And is this model the same thing but with the 3070 for 200$ more?

I think Jarrod's Tech said about 15% more performance for about 15% more cost, which is about the case here. Note that you're linking last year's model. Not sure how the performance of the newer processor factors in. I think the current model on Lenovo's website is around 1600, haven't seen one preconfigured for walmart just yet.

would think the current gen processor and 3060 and ram is on par with last year's specs plus 3070?

I just bought this. I hope it's as good as advertised. On paper, this thing is a BEAST.

Thanks. This has been going in and out of stock. Then it was OOS for more than a day at which point I regretted not buying.

I was "waiting" to see what kind of deals would exist for the 5i and/or 3070 gen 7 but as others said, they are not readily available.

Not a big gamer, I play SC2 occasionally so 3060 seems to be more than enough for that.

There's some weirdness with this model number shown on the walmart website however.

82RG0005US

This does not exist in lenovo's spec website:
https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/...H?tab=spec

If you look at the detailed specs of the two US models, it shows that there are three variety of displays:
https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/...H?tab=spec

It may be possible but this one being sold at walmart may be the 165hz 300 nits display.
