Pros: - Faster & cheaper than all their competitors (as of this time)
- PCIe 4.0 drive for under $180??? Awesome.
- Should be very durable given their role in the industry... but only time will tell that, I guess.
- Came in a nice solid packaging.
Cons: - Nothing yet!
Overall Review: So first, let me point out that I'm an industry expert and I've never heard of these people... Their name sounds familiar, but I can never think of any products they've made.
Second, I normally don't buy unreviewed products, but I saw this offering as a 'pre-order' and got curious, just as I was just finishing up a new PC build.
So after some research... it seems to me that Solidigm is actually one of the companies behind a line of INTEL's enterprise data center storage devices. Yes... they sell TO INTEL and Intel then re-brands with their own label and sells them back to other multi-billion dollar companies, like Google, as their own product.
So if Intel buys from them I figured that's probably as good of an endorsement as any... Buying one would basically be like just buying a new Intel brand drive.
This seems to be Solidigm's first go at the consumer market, hence the pre-orders.
So I figured, why not? I'll give it a try!
So far so good! Scores are definitely consistent with some of the top-of-the-line M2 SSDs.
I'll update this review if any problems come up.

Thumbs up! Historic lowest price for this model and capacity is $120. It performs well above its price range, has a long warranty, and is reliable (basically a newer Intel 670p). Not to mention cheap for 2TB. Should be enough for most users to completely replace their spinning hdd.

I had this. Paid <$110. Been using it for 2 moths. It worked fine. Temp never raised above 100 deg F, even under intense video processing, which I do often (not a gamer).
My laptop has Gen 4 NVMe specs. So I tried SK-Hynix P41, Samsung 970 Evo Plus, SK-Hynix P31, all 2 TB. To me, I don't see any difference in the performance among these four. What ever cheaper may be the best choice.

It's their P44 that you want, which I believe is identical to the SK Hynix P41.
