Are you using a 4G or 5G device? If you're using a 4G device, then both will be deprioritized (but TMO could be less congested in your area...hard to say). Based on your comment about Pageplus I'm guessing you're using a 4G device, as USM should be higher priority than Pageplus if you're using a 5G device. Probably just a congested area for Verizon?
It's an iphone 8+ so yeah, 4G.

Yeah you won't see any benefit to USM over pageplus if you're on Verizon then (except maybe price...not familiar with Pageplus pricing). Whether TMO will work better will totally depend on congestion for you vs. Verizon congestion in your area. Both are going to be deprioritized (as most prepaid plans are) so if there's a lot of users in your area your data speeds will suck.

Been debating between USM and Visible. From what I've read online, USM doesn't deprioritize until you exceed the 40GB on basic or 100GB on the premium plans. Finishing up my 10 day trial now and here in the Dallas area, service has been great. Worst case, I'll switch and hate it and just switch to visible or some other carrier.
I suspect either will be great while on premium data and both has the possibility to be totally crap when deprioritized. The latter is my current Visible experience on party pay, but if you live in the right place I hear Visible is great.

Have to pay at least $5 for porting out?
if you are on their free trial you are very likely unable to port out, but call c/s to confirm. If you change from the free trial to one of their plans (like the $5. plan if you want that number ported to GV or another carrier) then you can port. Confirm with c/s as they are easy to get ahold of in my experience.

You can port out during free trial - hence it is a 'trial'.

Did this during last promotion. So far so good. No complaints so far.
Same, had to change some APN settings but it's been smooth sailing since. And that could very well be due to using an older device.

Bummer. My S22+ eSIM IMEI shows as not compatible. It worked fine with google fi and t-mobile.

I haven't gone through with the activation process yet, but the website finally accepted my digital IMEI after chatting with customer service. Before that, it kept telling me "looks like this device does not support esim".
So they did something on their side or you had to enter a different number?

EDIT: I had a chat with them. Provided them both the IMEI numbers and then they fixed it on the backend, then it worked flawlessly.

Couldnt not activate my phone on their previous BF deal. I think it was cause my phone was not comptiable with warp 5g or esim for something. MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS COMPATIABLE OR YOU WILL NOT GET 100 FREE DAYS. It isn't their fault I didn't qualify but make sure u dont make my mistake.

I am using it on S22 Ultra as esim. No issues at all. I am using a app to force use 5G whenever available.

years back I tried their service. it was not working properly and had to switch to a different service provider. years later they contacted me last month by email and told me they are improved significantly. They even offered a $100 credit. I am happy with my current cheap service from another company and have no plan to go back to US Mobile.

Is any previous customer also eligible for this trial or is there a minimum period?

this is all the US mobile website says:

All new US Mobile customers are eligible for the free trial. All you need is a new account, your preferred method of activation, and your device.
