I had a really tough time with us mobile. Never was able to get data to work and customer service was unhelpful. When I decided to give up and transfer to another service they wouldn't give me my account info so I could port my number. They said I had to purchase a plan first (even though I couldn't get their data to work, nor could they). I threaten to report them to the BBB and finally they gave me the account info but the port never worked and I had to change numbers. You might want to try them before porting your number because even if the service doesn't work you might never get your number back.

I'm on their trial. Activated Pixel 7 and S22U both on eSIM.

I signed up in December and my experience has been mixed. Great, friendly and helpful customer support but even though my family have had no issues with their devices (iphones/androids) on the Verizon Warp 5G service in Missouri, I've had bad luck with unusable internet (40+ seconds to load websites). That said we went from paying $180 on a grandfather tmobile plan to $115 (after taxes). Customer support also is shipping me a free sim card to hopefully fix my issues.

february update since this is still getting views - internet has been much better with no difference between what I used to get for speeds on tmobile and what I get now on us mobile. I think there was just something wrong with my account when I started with them.

My 100 day trial is up, and I'm now trying to port my number out to a new carrier, but I keep getting this message "We're sorry, your number is not eligible to be activated on the National Retail Network from your previous carrier"......So it appears that USMobile is blocking me from porting out somehow. I've had this same number for over a decade, so I'd really hate to go through getting a new number. Any advise?

You may need to downgrade to a cheaper plan and pay one month fee, then you should be able to port out. I think it's in the terms that you can't port out during free trial.

What's your new carrier? Have you recently tried to port to a different carrier?
I had my usm number port to cricket several days ago, had to ask usm to manually release number. I did try to port to other carrier after cricket's pending port, and got error message.

Yes, I had to contact USMobile to have them release my phone number. Took awhile, but got it done. Now I'm having the same issue with porting out my wife's number, so I guess I have to go through the same hassle again....

It shouldn't apply to the number you ported in, but I think someone mentioned it in this thread or reddit.
"New numbers created as part of our Warp 5G Free Trial are not eligible for porting out until after a plan has been purchased for that line. We also do not allow the activation of lines for the purpose of abusing other carrier's port incentives. This is an abuse of our flexible plan offering to take advantage of our industry peers. Additionally, we will alert the other carriers of these actions such that they may take the appropriate measures."

my unlocked iPhone 13 Pro Max became "locked" after sign up for the trial.

it shows incompatible device when I checked my IMEI with Xfinity, Visible and Cricket.

I had no problem switching between AT&T, Verizon and T-mobile using eSIM previously.

I asked US Mobile to close my account and now i am able to switch to Cricket, but I am still not able to switch to Xfinity. Anyone else face similar issue?
Any follow-up on this? I'm surprised they could lock a phone but it seems worrisome.

So how do you request them to release your own number?

My 100 day trial ended & I downgraded to lowest-priced plan but still $8 and change a month. Anyone try Hello mobile, their lowest plan is $5 without all those bs fees added? THanks in advance.
