About this Deal:
At the time of this posting, Our research indicates that this is $19.06 lower (54.8% savings) than the next best available prices starting from $34.80. -SaltyOne
I jumped on these when they were $22 two weeks ago for toe kick lighting in our kitchen project.
They are 12v and come with a wall transformer. There would be nothing stopping you from removing the wall wart and running 12v to it directly. Infact the control box that the power supply connects to is a barrel connecter, so it could be done tidely.
They do remember their color and dimming setting, when turned off and on (important for hardwiring).
Each box comes with a joiner, so you can join an additional strip, up to 32 feet.
You can join together strips from the starter kits. For example, if you need 13 feet, you may be better to get two starter kits and join them, than 1 starter kit and 2 extensions.
If you need extensions, they do work fine with the generic 6 pin extensions from amazon. (link[amazon.com]. An presumably any of the generic 6 pin acceseries.
Honestly though, Amazon sells equivalent ones for around this price. I use these ones[amazon.com] and have been very happy with them. Tip: I use small neodymium magnets to hold the strip in place under the cooker vent where heat and grease makes the adhesive not stick well.
My thought exactly. And I personally don't think Cree is a great brand. None of their LED lights in my house lasted very long.
Nothing.
Well, it seems a bit statistically unlikely, though obviously not impossible, that dozens of a Cree product purchased at different times from different batches, that supposedly have a high failure rate, would have a 100% success rate, despite about half of them running 24/7, and simultaneously a purportedly low-failure rate Govee product would have a 0% success rate. So, notwithstanding easily faked Govee reviews and anecdotal internet reports, unless you've got a link to an unbiased 3rd-party study showing Cree has a higher failure rate than Govee, I'm going to still have to go with the company that's given me 100% success, whose HQ located about 20 miles from my house, over the 0% company from Hong Kong, China. (And yes, despite what some would like to believe, that location does make a difference.) Whatever one buys these days is always a gamble anyway.

These look identical to every no-name and off-brand set of LED strip lights, right down to the remote. I wouldnt call this a deal
