1080 is the vertical pixel count, not horizontal. 2560 is 33% more pixels wide than 1920. It should be fine for entry level productivity. I personally prefer higher pixel density but this isnt that bad.

For 34" panel, it is better to have 3440x1440. 1080 will have extra large pixel, may be for older people like me is good? But even I will still opt for 1440.
