The controller is kinda crummy. Mine hasn't broken yet but indeed the reviews say it will at some point. One interesting thing is you can load a mini sd card with gba, snes, and genesis roms and it will let you play them too by using the sd slot in the back of the unit.
Pls send a link for a raspberry pi, controller, case, SD card, power adapter, etc. for $24.99.
Retropie is free software. Many people already have an old pc, phone, or some other device laying around that can run roms. For this kind of non Arcade experience, most people can do it for free or have very little expense.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. I understand what RetroPie is But that does require a Raspberry PI. If you are running on an old PC then you would use RetroArch or another 100+ emulator options.
But at $25 this is a very cheap way to casually play some retro games almost instantly.
