FYI the sleeves are not Sherpa lined.

Warm jacket is warm.
Get the "Classic Sherpa Hoodies ". It's warm enough and good quality. Stay away from The "Tech Sherpa Hoddies". Those are garbage.
I have a couple of these from a previous deal. Hoodies are surprisingly warm. Sleeves are not sherpa lined.

Maybe its just them being cheap but I read this was to make the jacket easier to take on/off. I have these from and older deal and they are super warm, ugly as hell but warm. I wear it around the house all the time

After decades of Michigan winters I finally figured out I like light puffer hoodies over fleece.

Living in the West, you'd know that layering is the best route.
Where the Sherpa under the puffer.
Staying warm should not be a fashion show.

Correct. Don't rely on a single layer.

I only bought this one time a year or two ago from Woot, so I cannot speak to it being "hit or miss" but my experience was good. They were cheap to order and I figured if they didn't fit I could donate them. But they actually fit decently well and they have since become my daily wear.

Yes, the sleeves are not sherpa lined, which is annoying when you're cold and first put it on. However, I think that helps to prevent overheating.

I jokingly called these my "homeless hoodies" when I first got them because they are NOT stylish. I look like a bum on the street. But lucky for me I don't really care how I look and this thing does a good job. I literally use it everyday and prefer it over my more expensive shell winter jackets (only use those for snowy days).
This completely killed my desire of purchasing Smilie

Imagine this a catalog description for this item lol

As others have said stay away from the Tech ones. They're made from different material, are very thin and very cheap feeling. Ordered and stitching was popping out everywhere and my shirt was covered with fuzz from the material used.

The classic Sherpa ones are actually decent though. Heavy duty material that feels like it will hold up for a while. I think they sent a men's and womens size when I ordered since they're both the same size on the tag but ones larger than the other, or they're just irregular and all cut differently. I don't think they look too bad, but then again I really don't care about winning any fashion awards when I'm out in the cold. More comfortable to wear than any jackets I have.

No hoodie drawstrings on the Tech version makes it less than useless for actual "tech" uses. I recently bought a workout or "tech" hoodie from BJ's without those and it's absolutely NOT for active workouts because the hoodie keeps flopping around or coming off and offers minimal protection from cold. Why would anyone make a hoodie without drawstrings other than for those 16 year old idiot posers who wear them halfway because it's how all the other 16 year old idiot posers are wearing them?
Hood isn't necessary for everyone. I bought them two years ago and use them as cold work jackets and I don't use the hood. When working and running tools I'd rather wear a hat for visibility and less restriction. At the price I don't have to care if I stain/ruin them.

The techs look like they may fit a tall person better, any thoughts there? I'm 6'6" 230lbs and I feel like the classic 2XL is made for Umpa Lumpas. The arms are still short on me and I can fit 2.5 of me in the belly area. 😕

My point was if it has a hood, it should have drawstrings or some other way to make sure they don't flop around or let cold or wind in.

Got them from Woot using my Amazon prime when they were on deal last time (without the beanies). Tagline says Q-Active, and the quality is poor. Very heavy to carry or lift without the quality. I have been wearing them casually at home, and within two cycles of laundry and a few weeks of wear, they look worn out. The only positive is that they are warm. They won't last more than a season or two, and I won't get them even for free any more. There is a reason why they say you get what you pay for. Oh, the original price listed ($100+) is totally fraudulent.
