For newer Samsung phones with 4GB+64GB or less including A13, A14, A23, etc., if it lags and freezes during normal usage, update to Android 13 (One UI 5) and go to Settings - Device care - Memory - RAM Plus and turn it off completely.

My Galaxy A23 becomes much more responsive after T-Mobile pushed Android 13 and allowed me to do the above.

Wireless charging is not a midrange phone feature, let alone a budget line like this. Pixel 6A doesn't have it either.

This one is not a mid tier, it is an entry level phone. Which is why it is free (+$40 plan). Samsung's mid tier is the A53, which is available for $99 (+$40 plan; $50 +$40 plan if you are porting your number).

You will probably be disappointed in the potato camera on this one. I'm not happy even with the A53 camera compared to the Pixels.
Thanks for the info. I thought this might be the case. Cancelled the virtual card I used for one of the orders so that only 1 will ship. Might as well get one to play around with to see if I like it for only $40.

In my long-standing quest to be the most irritating and pedantic jerk I can be, I am obligated to point out that the difference in charging time is greater than you stated. It would actually take 43% longer (26 more minutes). I'll leave why as a mathematical exercise for you and the rest of the casual observers among us.

The extra time doesn't matter to me. I use less than 100% of my phone's charge per day, so it has plenty of opportunity to recharge while I'm sleeping. But I'm sure it matters to some telephone power users.

The extra time can be compensated for by increasing the input power. That would result in a little more wasted energy, but a little more of not much is still not much. The real limiting factor of charging speed is how fast the battery can be charged without something bad happening. Maybe the extra heat from the the inefficiency means the maximum rate of wireless charging will always be lower than wired charging if all else is equal, but wireless charging being too slow doesn't seem to be a common complaint.
I never said that the 1 hour charging was the correct time for smartphone charging.
I never measured any of mine.
I merely used it as hypothetical example of what that 70% efficiency means in terms of increased charging times if the charging time was 1 hour.

0.30 x 60 minutes = 18 additional minutes needed -- linear

You are giving credence as to why the smartphones are not coming with wireless charging.
LOL.

Slow wireless charging time not being a complaint is probably because people come home, throw it on the charger, and charge it throughout the evening and night to use for the next day. They don't care how long it takes.

My smartphone gets very warm with the fast wired charging as is.
Heat is absolutely not good for the batteries.

For Samsung it's maybe closer to entry level but overall as an android I'd call it lower mid range. Specs are decent, all that's really missing is another 2gb of ram. 1080p with NFC, 5G, 90hz, 50mp cam and 5000mah paired with an ok chipset.
Well yes, this one is quite decent. Compared to 2 generations ago we have A12 which is borderline unusable. Samsung upped their game on the 5G variants of the A13 and A23 generation to compete in premiums markets like the US. In other markets crappier specs exist (like the A13 and A23 non-5G).

This time around (A14 5G) they decided to keep the processor the same but upped the screen and front camera specs. I would say that's a good decision to make the phone overall well rounded. But recall this processor uses 2 Cortex A76 cores (2018). This would be slower than the Galaxy S9 with better screens and cameras (~$120 used). The only thing going for this is probably the 4 years of security updates.

The MSRP of $200 for this phone is fair. The Metro subsidy is what makes this deal awesome.

I activate the phone with the Metro sim card. Account on https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/ is active. I try Metro sim card with my unlocked Pixel 3a but couldn't make phone call from the Pixel 3a. Put the Metro sim card back to the Galaxy A14 and phone call is working fine.

Why the deal is marked as dead?

Can still see the option on metro: "Need a new number: $0.00"?

The deal is dead because free activation is gone? So now the total cost would be $40+$20(activation), is that right?

Metro sim/phone are married together, not sim swappable without effort from app or CS.

Not an esim. Ordered a 2nd phone after getting mine today. It is for my wife and I used her credit card and email and it went through without a problem. So you can order more than one for the same address. You may have to use a different CC and email.

Did the sim card come in those typical size credit cards? Either i didn't get one with my phone or i already lost it.

it's in a brown envelope (sometimes white) that looks like packaging material.
