Did you use different email, card, name, etc for each phone?

Ordered 2, received 2, same email, same cc

Activated the phones, made sure autopay off (off by default for me), uninstalled the bloat and now decent phones. Tempted to get a 3rd just to mess around with
Picked up a case and screen protector for under $8 from amazon

One of the $40 charges posted and the other one just went away

The Metro computer system is crappy and dropped the 2nd line of my address, which is the apt unit number, and now UPS is delaying delivery. I know I entered it correctly because T-Mobile sent a confirmation email w the full address I entered, just that UPS delivery address has it missing. I guess they really run a skeleton crew at Metro to save money.

Does anybody know if once you activate this phone on the 40 plan, can you then revert to the 30 plan the next month? Why is everybody so insistent on letting it sit for six months? It's fairly competitive with other monthly unlimited data plans; isn;t it?
Yes you can downgrade it to $30 on month 2. I don't know about anyone else but I'm using cheap 1GB plans from red pocket for $100 a year.

For shits and giggles I might try to put in a verizon sim since those unlock after... 60 days I tihnk?
Do let us know. I have an old Verizon SIM but no active service with them so I don't want to run the risk of it not unlocking in 60 days.

You can call metro customer service to cancel service, or simply don't pay anymore and the account will cancel itself
thank you!

yeah that's my concern too - I don't want verizon to say, "this phone isn't in our system" or something like that. Similarly if I lock it to ATT I don't want them to say "code not found" when trying to unlock it. I still haven't decided what to do yet, it's sitting unactivated right now lol

So I got Motorola Stylus by ordering online and activating myself(thus skipping store activation fee). I plan to port out of metro after one month and just wait for 6 months to pass before unlocking it. The phone itself doesn't have unlock app that metro phones usually get. So does that mean I'll need to call their customer support after 6 months? Why would they help me if I'm not their customer.

They dont print the second line. What is UPS saying?

I ran into the same issue, luckily the UPS guy called the number on the label (they print that). Luckily it was temp driver during holiday season and he called form his own personal phone. The regular driver doesnt care much and would have never called the number listed on the label.

Btw, Metro has 0 customer service for online orders

Because people already have phone lines. They dont want to pay for additional ones they wont use. unlock eligibility after 6 months
