For newer Samsung phones with 4GB+64GB or less including A13, A14, A23, etc., if it lags and freezes during normal usage, update to Android 13 (One UI 5) and go to Settings - Device care - Memory - RAM Plus and turn it off completely.

My Galaxy A23 becomes much more responsive after T-Mobile pushed Android 13 and allowed me to do the above.

Wireless charging is not a midrange phone feature, let alone a budget line like this. Pixel 6A doesn't have it either.

I activate the phone with the Metro sim card. Account on https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/ is active. I try Metro sim card with my unlocked Pixel 3a but couldn't make phone call from the Pixel 3a. Put the Metro sim card back to the Galaxy A14 and phone call is working fine.
You have to go into the metro app on the new phone you just received, there is an option to swap phones, follow instructions and then swap sim card to your pixel
IF you want to swap the SIM to the pixel, that is the way to go. But you may lose out the chance to unlock the A14 in 6 months because that would mess with the activation status in Metro's system. You could do it but I wouldn't recommend it.

Are you saying the phone has to be first activated with the new sim card it came with before I can switch it out for another Metro sim card?
Yes, if you want the phone unlocked after 6 months
I don't think that is necessary. If you already have Metro and plan to have service for the next 6 months, you'll be eligible for unlock per Metro's official policy (without taking advantage of the "cancel after 1 month" loophole). So it shouldn't matter if activating using the new SIM or using your old SIM, as long as you have 6 months of continuous service on this phone (without swapping phone SIMs in between).

Hey I just got mine today and the startup screen says, "Put sim card provider by operator". This would lead me to believe, though have not tried, that the phone will lock to whichever SIM card you first put in it, sort of like phones that you purchase from Best buy that are unlocked, but locked to whichever sim card you first put in it. Can anyone confirm?

You did but you tossed it out thinking it was part of the packaging.

Check for a paper envelope/bag, it could be white or brown bag, sim card is in there, you could easily mistake the bag with shipping packaging
Thank you! I found mine in the recycle bin in a very nondescript brown envelope. The damn thing does look just like the packaging.

I saw that same message, also there was a sticker on the box that says
"This device is for use on our network and not for commercial resale"

Does anybody know if once you activate this phone on the 40 plan, can you then revert to the 30 plan the next month? Why is everybody so insistent on letting it sit for six months? It's fairly competitive with other monthly unlimited data plans; isn;t it?

It says metro on the bottom of the sticker, but the frase "This device is for use on our network" makes me think that the phone is actually unlocked and will lock to the 1st carrier sim that is insterted, also, I already activated with the metro sim, and the phone said it needed to restart in order to install apps needed for my carrier 🤔

You are still getting the concept wrong.

70% efficiency means a 30% reduction from 100%.
0.69 hours = 30% of 2.3 hours

What took 2.3 hours with wired charging now takes 2.3 hours + 0.69 hours = 2.99 hours or almost 3 hours.

THINK.
You're trying to use the 100% charging rate to calculate the extra time required at the 70% charging rate. What you've actually calculated by doing that is the extra time required to charge to 130% of the battery's capacity at the 100% charging rate. That's not the same as the extra time required to fully charge the battery at 70% of the original charging rate.

Here's one more example.

It takes 1.67 hours to drive 100 miles at 60 MPH. If you slow down 30%, you're driving at 42 MPH. According to your methodology, you'd calculate the increased trip time as 0.3 * 1.67 h = 0.5 h. But that's wrong!

The total trip time at 42 MPH would be 100 miles / 42 MPH = 2.38 h. It actually takes 2.38 h – 1.67 h = 0.71 hours extra.

You have to use the slower 70% rate to calculate the additional time required. Look at the math carefully and try it for yourself. The math doesn't lie.

Calculate the total time needed to fully charge the battery at the 70% rate, and see how much longer that is than the original charging time. If that doesn't convince you, I don't think anything will.
