Here's the best AA offer at present - 80K points on the Barclay business CC with $2,000 spend and no fee for the first year. No hassle to getting a business card as using it for your eBay or Amazon sales qualifies you. I got two cards for myself and my wife with no questions asked. An extra bonus is that i believe business cards do not count against the Chase 5/24 limit.

I am planning to start an online store, which means it is still not set up yet. What do I need to prove to show Barclays that I have justifications to get a business card?
Nothing NADA. You just have to make a few general selections from some drop downs that describe the business.
Hey OP (or anyone) - if I open this card up for my wife (I've already had it recently) can I put down my own AAdvantage number and get her points to my account even though I got the bonus via my card? I know to play it safe I should just use hers but I like having all the points pooled in one place to make us all on the same itinerary when we redeem. Or are point transfers free between AA accounts?
Point transfers are pricey, even between spouses e.g 10,000pts =$150. I wouldn't risk losing the bonus if the automatically do a nam comparison on the application.
Yeah there is 0 info about my question online surprisingly. The benefit of putting it in my Aadvantage account is I already have a lot of points and just want to add to the pool so I can book any award redemption value, as opposed to only having 80K points to play with at a time since she has very little right now. I think I will just play it safe and put it in her account.
You can build up her points by getting one or two of the Citi AA cards. There's a SD post for the CC cards here
Barclays has terrible customer service; they discriminate against random applicants by harassing into requiring follow-up documentation, and one of the requirements is A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD as if any of us carry that around anymore (or keep one, for that matter). Then the pretend that they will accept alternate forms of identification, via fax or postal mail only, but loop back to rejection even so. Total asses.
I have 2 Barclay's business cards and getting approval was a pain for both cards. Expect request for proof of your identity and you will need to send them copies of documents before approval. In one case I had to do it twice since they couldn't find my documents. Not the greatest or most organized company but I like the cards benefits. I'm not sure if they do this with everyone but I can assure you your credit worthiness has nothing to do with this. I have ZERO debt and an 810+ FICO.
Yesterday i applied for this Business card and got approved instantly for 14k and then about 5 minutes later i applied for the 60K personal card that only requires 1 purchase and that said pending and didn't approve instantly but about 2 hours later i got an email saying approved.
I'm pretty sure Barclays combines the 2 hard pulls into 1 hard pull cause it was in the same day. That is why i tried it and surprisingly it worked. That is 140K points for 1 hard pull. Amazing. JAL biz class is great way to spend them.

Seems they discriminate against high SS# vs age (I believe that's how you know it's an immigrant)
But I had the Barclay's consumer card just over a year ago.

What do they ask in general, in these calls?
