Just the info for the Xfinity account owner (you, presumably). It doesn't have to match GV.

You do need to go into your GV settings to set up voice mail remote access and set a PIN. Then submit the unlock request in GV and pay $3. XM will need the GV number (enter as account number) and vm PIN to transfer the number.

It took about 5 days to clear the activation and port once I got the phone, so be aware of that too.

It impacts the credit. I did the sim swaps and lost the credit. I had to work with their tech to restore it back to the phone to get the credit back.

Has anyone added a new line to get the promo on the phone, then transfer the phone to a current line? Basically lost my xfinity line phone and need to replace it, but there are no promos for replacement, only new lines. I have room for a new line on my account with no additional costs. I need to keep my same phone number. Just trying to not pay full price.

SIM swap doesn't work according to above post. You have to port out your number to some carrier and then port back into Xfinity Mobile.

Iphone 14 pro's full res pro raw is considered very good in terms of phone cameras, but it's really for photography enthusiasts that want to post-process photos....most don't care. It's doing basically the same thing as GCAM google camera tech, but the 14 is full sensor which most Androind phones do not allow, only some lesser known Android (Chinese makers) allow full sensor capture in RAW. Also, most people using Android phones don't care to use GCAM although they could...that is the nice thing about mid to higher Android devices , Gcam usually can be ported to it. OTOH, Apple is kinda stingy and does not allow their pro-raw tech (like gcam) to be used on the 12 line and below. Not a big deal IMO. Most all Apple devices made today excel at video taking, and also all Apple models can shoot RAW with free third party apps, which in some cases can render great looking shots.

LOL no....Google did not create raw. RAW is unprocessed data that comes directly out of a camera sensor. RAW has been a thing well before Google even existed. Google did not create computational photography....they developed their own method to do it easy and rather nicely in phones. Computer software has been doing these things before Google. It evolved with Google engineering. I've used Google phones since their original G1. And used their first Pixel and ported GCAM in many phones and still do.
Iphone 14 pro doesn't offer the best phone. camera money can buy but it is considered good. Of course still photography is not the only reason people buy phones. And most people actually don't care installing GCAM or post processing RAW etc. These Iphone deals like the 12 mini is fantastic deal overall for most people.

Mini doesn't even have a zoom lens and also no high res zoom which gives about 2.1x additional zoom. I don't do raw but it came b4 on iphone. I can only like pixel pro coz I love my moon shots
Since last yr Google has super charged the cam which was already unbeatable I can say that the night mode on ip14pro is better then I expected but nothing as good as pixel also the ability to take pics in flashing lights is almost impossible in other phones. Also fireworks on iphone is impossible if ur in my NYC I could show u IRL

So my plan is to port out my xfinity number to GV. Should cost $20. Then port back in to get the new line promo.

Has anyone done this? I have 2 concerns, first is there a wait period that Xfinity will not allow the re-port of that number? And will they qualify the GV number as a U.S. Carrier for the promo?

I've been able to do a sim swap in the past when Xfinity mobile had the free IPhone SE 2nd gen a few years ago and it worked fine. I have 2 of these and will be planning on doing the same. However, SIM swap doesn't work on the iPhone 14 due to the new E-Sim. I tried it with their promo back in December and didn't work.

The 12 Mini deal here is a FREE PHONE with low cost service as an option. Anything that performs better than the Iphone 14 Pro will cost about ~$700 US to $1500 is for top tier higher end phones .
IRL, I have access to best Iphone 14 pro max and best Pixel 7 pro to test

After you port out, it may take several hours at least or up to a day for the line to drop off from your Xfinity account. Not sure if you can place an order right away with the same number while you still have the line listed on the Xfinity account. However, the iPhone is OOS now, so time has already run out.

GV is classified as landline/wireline, so porting process may even be slower than mobile.

Thanks, yes it's ported in to GV, got a notice that's the line was removed from XF. Still shows up on my xf account, it's been about 18 hours. Hoping to get the $450 off promo by 1/31. Hopefully it clears by Tuesday.
