No RTSP support on these cameras

So from what I found out from their live stream is it is a "V4" in a way but with simple connections/housing so it's not a true V4 but it's also not a V3. It doesn't come with magnetic base and the base is more limited in range of motion. So from an internal hardware base it's better than V3 but packaging is less than a V3. I guess In a way like an iPhone SE or maybe even an iPad mini??? where its newer hardware but in older housing.
Two cameras = two SD cards
But once the stacking kit comes it's one power cable.
They wanted to go back to being a "low priced camera company". they mentioned there are going to be a lot of different cameras coming out in the future like wide angle, super wide angle, 5x, 7x zoom cameras and other options to add onto this "OG" ecosystem.
The V3 is compatible with other items like spot light, garage door, and other items where as the OG ecosystem won't be.
It will be two series: a higher end series and a lower end series and each will be compatible with their own system. So instead of buying multiple high end cameras for simple areas you can buy cheaper cameras that do one specific job for that one location. like instead of buying two OG cameras and stack them for a wider view, you would just put a V3 pan in that location. and instead of putting a V3 or V3 pan to see down the side of the house you would just put in an OG or OG telephoto to see the entrance gate down the side of the house.
I guess that would be the best way to put it. Each OG camera will do one specific job with a processor and sensor that is better than the V3 so it's not a V3 replacement. Hope this helps
I have a bunch of wyze cameras v1, v2, pan. The SD card recording stops working over time for all of the 7 camera's. Wyze doesn't support them. Customer service never could resolve the issue. I would avoid wyze
Have you tried using a high quality SD card like the Samsung Endurance that others have mentioned? It makes a difference!

that is not my experience, and I have been using these v2,v3 for years. You do know the v1, v2, pan was not waterproof, right? Did you put any of your cams outside?
the v3 is waterproof, and I use good microSD cards. If the card gets corrupted, did you take out of wyze and reformat it. I have done that sometimes in the past, but that is very, very rare for me. I did buy waterproof covers for my v2 for outside.
the v3, the v3 pro, Pan3v,OG are all waterproof, and they can take up to 256 gb microSD cards.

Wyze should have made the FREE SHIPPING for 2-3 days with announcement of OG models, since they are going back to their roots.
I was going to buy it and the promocode for FREE Shipping didn't work for me. I cancelled it.
Not sure how many hours the promocode worked, maybe a few hours....

.... all my wyze v2 and v3 can be put in continious recording. The secret is to put microSD card in camera, and set it up for Continous record.
Then watch footage in TIMELINE mode, to see what happens.
that sucks actually.
Most the real surveillance cameras has continuous record smart mode , it continuous record at lower recording rate, when motion detected, it records in normal rate to save the storage space and never miss a moment

I'm sorry, but you know nothing about this camera. How many have you owned and what versions.
Since you know NOTHING, maybe watch some youtube videos about products and buy stuff that sounds good, and then share your experience. I mean no offense. But your last post said the wyze doesn't have continous mode. And that is just plain wrong.
Now there are 2 options when recording, you can pick only record motion stuff,or record continously. Depending on how big the microSD card is, after it records after a number of days, it autodeletes the oldest records, and keeps recording. Most of us, can see our stuff to check if anything happened. And if we need to record that stuff for windows use, or smartphone device, we can save just the portion of recording that we want to save.
Eufy is another OPTION, but oh wait, Eufy had a major scandal the last 2-3 months where you can watch the footage on web using VLC without any encription! And if hackers get your ip address on camera, can watch live footage anywhere in world. And EUFY denied it could be done. And Verge proved the B.S. scam, by recording their own footage, and playing it back on other side of country, using VLC.
What are you currently using for security cameras, and how much do they cost, and is there a pay wall and how much is that?
No pay wall for me with Wyze. And I like their starlight night mode, that with a little outside light, makes it look almost like it's 4pm-6pm outside, seeing everything even at 3am.

Cheaper on amazon with overnight shipping at $25. To be honest, I would hesitate, I have 2 v2 cameras that worked fine for over 1 year and after the last update became very flaky, I factory reset and even downgraded and upgraded firmware but they never seem to come back to reliable. So, I "feel" like they pull the trick of degrading old ones so you buy new ones.

I own the Wyze original version and V3.
It has many cons and few pros.
Nowadays it becomes worse and worse when they try to grab more money from subscription service

ok, I guess you were not aware the device has continous recording mode. No problems. I bypass pay wall, with big microSD cards. What are you using instead of Wyze? And does that have pay wall too.
I understand your frustration with pay wall, but I guess you don't appreciate the starlight mode?
Also, 20 bucks is pretty good for me. I bought 8 of the v3 (from Home Depot supersale) , and I love them. I loved the v2 cams too, but wider field of vision, and starlight and waterproofing improved in the v3 are nice improvements.
I guess you are just warning people not to get Wyze, what do you recommend, and what is the price, and what is price of paywall.

V1 is well, too old. But my V2's and Pan have been recording for years and still do. There is no lack of support, firmware gets updated, all works with new app updates.

WILL have stackable capabilities. Kind of a bonehead move to release the cams and not have that piece ready to go. Currently you can't get the thing to stack them so I'm waiting until it's released.
Agreed. And it's 2 weeks out. Unlikely to have free shipping but we'll see.

* Are either Wyze Cam OG or Wyze Cam OG Telephoto Cam Plus Lite compatible?
* No, neither camera is compatible with Cam Plus Lite.

Edit - Poster below found these new cameras are not eligible for the Cam Plus Lite sub.
