Anyone have experience with this? Such an odd placement for the bottle. Do I have to reach for my butt crack or is it in-front of my bellybutton/crotch?

It sits above your ass (like where a normal belt would go) so no, you wouldn't be reaching for your crack

That seems even less practical. Have to reach toward the center of my back and then somehow get the bottle back in?

So really I have to keep rotating the belt around my torso. Just sounds like a PITA

I have this and the quality and function is excellent! Its a bit snug, but perfect for on the go snacking whether on a walk or at a bbq cookout. There pockets hold a decent amount of snacks and best of all they are zippered so you can keep your chips, pretzels, cheese curls and cookies separate. The bottle is the perfect size for sipping beer or ssoda pop, as the extra 4 ounces provide enough room so the carbonation doesn't cause it to leak if you move around. If you are on the fence about buying this, get it now at this price. I paid almost double for this and its worth every penny!

lol you are no hiker or trail runner ..sipping beer, cookies and bbq cookout . lol wth It's like there's a deal for Hiking Sticks and you say they are very good because they help me stay safe from neighbors dogs

I suppose it could be great for hiking too, but this is not made for trail running or any kind of running for that matter. Anything carbonated would get too agitated in this sealed type of bottle and probably go flat, which is why this is designed specifically for standing or walking only. Also, its probably not a good idea to eat snacks while running. I can't see anyone fumbling with zippers to open the snack pouches while running with this.
