Don't extend the sub if it's expiring soon. You can do the Xbox Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate conversion again.

Buy XBL Gold codes wherever you prefer, redeem them, then sign up for GPU again. Even at regular price for XBL Gold ($60 for 1 year), it's much cheaper to convert than to extend GPU. And if you willing to deal with some hassles, 1 year XBL Gold codes are as low as $30.

Is this legit? Just got an email saying my kids Xbox game pass ultimate is expiring soon. We did a conversion deal a few years back so here we are. Just wondering what the best deal going is for continuing the sub (not letting it expire) without getting ripped off? Looks like it's $14.99 per month which seems pretty steep.

Not sure if it's the best deal going but it will extend your current membership, just did mine with no issues. Used this in the past buy purchasing several then applying. Only suggestion, purchase and apply then repeat... don't go buying 3 then run into issues. Not saying you will, just saying best to exercise caution.

Extending is never the best deal, it's simply the easiest.

I bought this last time. Got 2 codes = 6 months. One code worked perfect. Other code stated it had been used.

No refund...Be cautious if buying more than 1 I guess.

Cause it's none stackable. That's why only one time u can use I think. It says "these codes are not stackable"

Few follow up questions as it's been a few years since we did the conversion before.

If I buy a XBL Gold for $60 for 1 year how much time does extending the conversion add?

Do we have to wait a certain amount of time after it expires to be able to do the conversion again?

Also will my kind lose any of her games, data etc by letting our current GPU expire?

You won't be able to launch any of the Game Pass games while it's expired, but all saved games and data will remain intact and in the cloud. Once you reactivate Game Pass, or even purchase a digital or physical copy of a specific game, you'll be able to continue right where you left off.
