FYI: The warranty is roughly about 30% of the cost of the product.
Having built in batteries that are guaranteed to go bad and render the whole device landfill at some point feels like planned obsolescence.

1. Oxidation of Charging parts: Charging doesn't work properly unless you clean the surface.
2. Rubber grip melts: It melts even if you don't use it.
That's why the new version of this mouse is released.
Razer Viper V2 Pro.
Just put most grip tape on it. It has much better grip anyways. I put BTL grip tape on mine 2 years ago when I bought it, and it still looks brand new. I have had to deal with the oxidation on the contacts, though. I've had to clean in twice in the two years that I've owned it. 30 seconds with some isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip, and it charges like new again. Overall, I've been incredibly happy with the mouse. OpenRGB supports this mouse, as well, so I was able to get rid of Razer's terrible RGB software
One downside that you didn't mention is that Razer's Synapse software has to be running at all times to keep the RGB set to anything but unicorn puke or off. Thankfully, OpenRGB supports this mouse, so I was able to get rid of Synapse. The people developing OpenRGB are saints for us gamers.
Old model: Razer Viper Ultimate
Newer model: Razer Viper V2 Pro.

Linus? Is that you?
So I would agree with the guy saying getting an extended coverage is not a bad idea

HAVING SAID THAT, these mice are trash, as some razer fans noted in this thread. i was never a fan but i got a viper 2 pro when it was on sale. and it is terrible. the tracking is not consistent. the side buttons are designed for 7 year olds with extra small hands. i gave up trying to use the lower side button completely because my thump can't bend down enough. it's not just the location that's the problem, it's also the angle of the buttons. razer mice also have software in their dongles that keeps asking you to install it.
i can't say enough bad things about this mouse.
He is talking about Asurion. I wonder how it is. Anyone have any experience?
