if you filter for this product you just get a few one-liners.

they get hot - 75 watt equiv is pushing it for a normal format bulb.

My lamp etc says 60watts max, but this is actually 15 watts but brightness is 100 watts, so it's ok no problem to use in my case?

I have some 100 watts equivalent Philips bulbs on the deck that have been out there for 4+ years, running all night, 365 nights a year. No issues, never get hot, never seem to die, even though temps here range from 0 to 100+.

Correct. No problem as the actual watts are lower than your lamp's spec.

Quality LEDs are supposed to last almost forever. Is offering s&s a confession about the quality?

Because CA regulations concerning any material that could be hazardous or cancer causing. Look at a product label next time your purchase something and more than likely you will see special instructions concerning CA.
