For $8, if you like Marvel, it might be worth trying for the campaign, but don't get your hopes up.
If you really want to spend around that price on a game, get Deep Rock Galactic. Most fun I've had gaming in years.

Weak, basement-dwelling nerds are actually angry that Marvel is producing stuff based on their LONG STANDING female and black characters:

The creator of Watchmen was right. This childish obsession with nostalgic, simplistic morality tales promotes fascism:

(I will admit, though, that the gameplay video makes it look boring af)

Black Panther was a multi time failed comic, just like Dr Strange and Silver Surfer. There's a reason why they're 4th tier characters.

Characters actually play differently so it wasn't like many super hero games where there are ranged and melee with different animations separating the two. Are missions fairly similar? Yes - but if we are honest, there are mainly fetch quests and kill quests anyway in games like this - fetch quests and "go talk to _____" are effectively the same and loot x/kill x are, too. So is it repetitive? Yes. Are a ton of loved games? Yes.
Seems like it comes down to Ms. Marvel being the main story teller and my understanding of crappy online. Wasn't there a required internet connection as well? Like many, I never know about those since my PC is always connected anyway. Stupid for solo, but it impacts fewer people each year - hello cloud gaming. I know I have heard some say the end content initially was lacking. They added a bunch of content for free. It also means for $8, you get to play through the story and then there isn't a pseudo-obligation to keep playing. I beat it back before the first new content was released and have played probably half of the new stuff. Had gotten at $20-30 range and have no regrets. Would obviously prefer it for $8, but there aren't many options for games like this so…

1. They licensed the characters but not the actors so it looked like bagged cereal.
2. The beta of the game was fast-paced and constantly changed your hero, but the final product was a grind.
