Limited Warranty period(parts): 5 years

Waiting to hear what you all have to say about this. I'm considering the 2tb. I've been waiting for a good deal for one with a 5yr warranty.

It most likely has hmb instead of dram cache, tossup if its qlc or tlc nand being used. Its sbould be an okay cheaper drive.

If you have an Amazon rewards card you get $2.59 back which makes it cheaper then Newegg.

1TB PNY CS1030 M.2 is DRAM-less TLC or QLC. Warranty: 5 year or 240 TBW.
Expect considerable drop in performance when you need to write more than 25-50GB of data.
Ok drive for non critical data / performance.

This is normal price for 1TB SSDs now nothing special especially when there is a massive oversupply of DRAM and NAND memory right now. Also Teamgroup had their 1TB SSD down to $42. This TBW also looks abysmal.

Wow...That's not good.

I just converted an old 1TB Samsung 850 Evo (SATA) to an external drive today. I was copying a lot of data to it and it was writing at a low of 120 MB/s up to 300 MB/s sustained for over 300 GB. It didn't over heat either..

Is it possible you're wrong? The performance issue you mentioned sounds pathetic....

Honest question: Why would you want this gen 3 over gen 4 for $60?
