Price drop from 2 months ago when the 2TB model was $110 and the 1TB was $54.

Note that some people found that PNY switched to QLC and kept the same model number.

With TLC, the drive isnt too bad, but with QLC, it is significantlt worse. For the same price I would get the Crucial P3. While it has QLC, it is a much better performer.

Or spend 20% more and get the dramless WD SN770.

if you are considering this drive cause of the price, guessing performace/specs are irrelevant. If you want a drive based on those, then you wont be looking for the cheapest thing on the planet

Huh? Surely specs and performance are relevant at whatever price point one wishes to look.

For sure. but expecting the *cheapest* drive on the planet to have good performance and specs is not gonna happen.

So if you are shopping for a drive, based on the cheapest thing you cant find... then this. =)

At this price, for Gen3, grab the intel 670p, it has dram and quality.
