Mesh System for Verizon 5G Internet Service

74 14 January 23, 2023 at 04:38 AM
Does anyone have experience with hooking up a mesh system with Verizon (or any 5G providers) internet service?

Looking for a new mesh system, does any brand/model work better with 5G?

The difference is in how you might connect 5G cellular internet to a different router. Are you trying to tether a cell phone or use something like Verizon Home Internet or T-Mobile Home Internet? It's mostly a matter of how you connect it to the mesh router, does the 5G router have ethernet or do you have to bridge the connection wirelessly?

This does not tell us how you connect a device to the "new Verizon 5G home internet".

I assume new Verizon 5G home internet will have a power cord, so that will plug in.
Will the new Verizon 5G home internet have any other ports that you can plug into, if so what are those ports?

makes no difference ethernet is ethernet!

You would just plug in the mesh into one of the 5G router ports.
turn off the 5G wireless part of the networking so you can avoid having the wireless networks interfere with each other.

When you say turn off the 5G Wireless on the networking, is that a setting on the mesh? Or, the Verizon box?

Connect ethernet cable from 5G (5th generation) cellular device to you mesh router.

Turn off wifi on the cellular router (2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi (different "5G")).

That picture is what I needed to better answer your question, not ever seen a Vz wireless box before.

Thank you.
