I'm hoping one of the better Samsung Tracfone phones goes on sale soon either from HSN or their ebay store. I currently have a Motorola G Play I got last March from an ebay a phone/minutes/text/data deal that was posted here. The phone started acting weird last month and the battery is starting to drain faster. I liked the phone itself though build/use wise.

I know Tracfone has shortened the unlock time when going to Verizon. Is it still a year to unlock if going to another carrier?

60 days from date of ACTIVATION... so technically don't need to have service that entire time.

60 days to unlock - (info has been posted in every TF thread for past year since VZ bought the company).

This is the full policy:
If the TracFone device was activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, then at least sixty (60) days must have elapsed since the device was activated.
The device must be in working condition.
The device has not been reported stolen or lost, and there are no indicators of fraud.

The Samsung A14 5G is a better deal at $40 from Metro, just have to wait 6 months for unlock. https://slickdeals.net/f/16384627-64gb-samsung-galaxy-a14-5g-metro-by-t-mobile-40

Then get the TF 2x Orbic flip phones w 1 year plans attached for $50 on ebay, that comes out to $65 (40+25) for new phone w 1 year plan, and another $25 for 1 year TF plan extension for 2 total years of TF service.

my Samsung is reacting the same way so maybe it's Google! I know the first issue was getting a weird message and it was after an update! Removed but wonder if it reloaded! Doesn't ping sometimes with text or call! I have a fitness band that notifies you and that doesn't work either, sound disappears! For a while I had trouble texting, even daughter couldn't ! I turned off and it finally worked! I hate the Samsung that's I looked at this deal hoping for better phone! Used to have LG phones never an issue!
