I've owned two of these: 65in versions.

Pros:
+Amazing black levels
+Incredibly thin
+Insane brightness level (I would say on par with QLED)
+High saturated colors (if that's your thing)
+Good software and apps (xbox cloud gaming is cool! Samsung dex works well)
+Price is, currently, very good for new tech.
+Fantastic for gaming

Bad:
-Very bad quality assurance.
-Back panel is plastic and prone to warping the frame of the tv.
-Antiglare coating comes off with any thing. No joke a finger print & light touches will rub it off.
-Samsung OS can be slow and unresponsive too often.
-No Dolby Vision
-Unproven long term reliability of QOLED

How can this TV be better?
*Dolby Vision
*Stronger build quality
*Optimize OS and/or better processing (it can get irritating)
*Better QC
*Better application of antiglare coat

I have to ask the question...since you bought 2

Have you had any quality issues with warping the frame on your units?

Has your antiglare coating come off?

New technology to market will always have some unknowns

As for the lack of Dolby Vision..you knew that going in and still bought the Samsung twice

With all of that..why did you buy two of the Samsung units and why didnt you buy the Sony version , since per the items on your list, it has less negatives?

Interesting to hear about the anti glare coating coming off. Doesn't Sony use the same panel? Do they have the same issue?

I just received a push from Shop Samsung for a $1449.99 offer, but can't get it in cart or through chat... Says something about Sunday though, so maybe that price starts Sunday for the 65?!

CES announced a S95C line with a 77. I'd love to replace my C1 with that, if Samsung offers a deal. I miss the brightness of my older set and additional color.

I hope so too! But now I'm worried that the notification might be referencing the 55 not 65... Too small these days and for my needs.

1. When you look at both TV's top edge you can a very slight bend/warp. I saw it before I started assembling but Its so slight that it doesn't bother me. It's not as bad as the ones on display at bestbuy.

2. I cleaned the first one with the same stuff I cleaned an LG C1 and it wiped off the antiglare completely in one third of the screen. Horrible. Because the TV also had loud electrical noises, i got it replaced by Samsung.

3. Not really question but yeah, I know this and I accept to be one of the guinea pigs, but it's still a negative since there's no security.

4.Dolby Vision is better but I personally can live without. HDR10 or w.e. Samsung uses is enough for me. But again, DV is better.

5. Everything has pros and cons. I'm not saying Samsung is trash by listing it's negatives. Sony in my opinion has the best quality but it comes at a price. I'm assuming you're referring to the A95k OLED.

I went with Samsung for the price. I got BOTH TVs for $2800. The Sony is $3000 for one. I'm going to sale one when the 75" version is released, it's much easier to sale a TV at $1000 than a $2000 in the FB marketplace.

C3? Or a deal on existing C2?

CES LG stated the new G3 would be up to 70% brighter. That would make it a lot closer to this model I believe
C2.. C3 really isn't bringing anything new to the table

The bolded portion of your statement is really the meat and potatoes

In my opinion, there are really no negatives for this Samsung at the price it is being sold

The alternative is to buy the Sony..period

You have , with QD-OLED, what the majority of people think is the best picture quality out there right now

My q80... I though anti glare was coming off while touching it.. But no.. You just clean it with microfiber and it is all good.. Cleaning with anything else gives the impression that ar coating came off

Stopped at BB to look and they had the 55" for $1449.99. So looking at the end date ......I don't think this was an advanced 65" epp price notice.

Shame the $1400 deal for the 65" a few months back never resurfaced. This is definitely the better pick over LG, I have the AW3423DW and an LG CX, and side by side, my QD-OLED monitor just produces much more vivid, brighter colors, it looks like the LG is a bit washed out in comparison.
Go with Lg, way better OS

Getting my 65in thru Costco.com Item 9765095 Model QN65S95BDFXZA for about $1,799.99 with total 7 Years extended warranty. It cost more but have better return policy and longer warranty.

I am getting my delivery tomorrow.

There is know issue with this model. Due to the slim profile the top area can be easily bended. There is know firmware issue with the brightness level downgrade to half.
