I would not not hesitate to recommend this oil as it performed extremely well and lasted 15k miles on my camry hybrid, here is the used oil analysis result: Linky[bobistheoilguy.com]
The mobil 1 extended performance oil I used previously didn't perform any better.
This is the Costco.com price. I believe it's $2.00 less in warehouse. Deal ends 1/29/23
It was $38.99 in nearby warehouse while the website was $39.99, if the coupon is $8 in both cases then it will be $1 less for me instore.
I have been eyeing on 0w20 deals, and was waiting till Feb 15 when Pennzoil sale goes on with rebate (based on previous years' deals) costing around $13 per 5-gallon after rebate, but this without rebate is not bad.
Will swing by Costco tomorrow.
Thanks OP.
Through several months of 2022, 2x5L pennzoil platinum 0w-20 could be had at several stores for about $48 or less minus $25 pennzoil rebate which included amazon so almost like getting it for $23 if amazon gc = cash to you.
Read too many nightmares in other threads about the rebates. I'll stick with the Kirkland.

Yep. Pennzoil's rebates kinda suck. Mobil is great, but they really need to remove the limit of 2 per household. I've been trying for years to buy like a truckload worth and they just refuse to cave or make a deal. So instead I have to employ my large family and many of my close customers to use their addresses to get as many rebates as I can when they're active. They are the ones who use it anyway, might as well save them some money. Just sucks for large-scale buyers like me. I'm honestly tempted to see if Costco will make a deal for a large order of this oil. Hmm...

I Only use pennzoil ultra platinum for years. Wonder if this any good for my lady's 4 cylinder Honda civic?
Depending on your oil drain interval (miles/months combination) and duty cycle (how much she beats it up), that will dictate which tier to go with. For most of the population, this oil (as long as it's the right viscosity grade and meets ILSAC/API standards - seals on the label) will be more than adequate.
And to the person talking about the Civic running on water, you're close! New Hondas and Toyotas are pushing the boundaries to lower high temperature viscosities - think 0W-12, 0W-8, and 0W-4. But so far that's mostly in the Japanese market.

Only worth it if you need it now. Mobil 1 5 quarts are always around $8 after rebate, about half the price here. Bought this during COVID with poor timing with the various rebates and it's performed fine (no oil testing).
Haven't seen any Mobil 1 discounts for a long time. All other years except last year, there have been Black Friday sales. I was hoping last BF that they would have it but they did not. I ended up getting Valvoline and their promo. I do my own oil changes and usually stock up on BF.

Looks like it. Didn't realize they didn't continue the last few years. Even I bought 12 quarts of OW20 1/21 from Costco to stock up at $22.

That's the right mobil 1 oil that I usually get but they're so cheap around $15 after rebate.
