This is available for a few more days: Purchase the Ryobi One + 18v 4-Tool kit w/ batteries and charger for $159 and add the P262 Brushless 1/2" Impact Wrench as the free tool. Itemized prices on the receipt will be as follows:

Both are great deals at those prices. Soo... keep both? Or return either one to score a deal on the other. Several other brushless tools are available as the "free gift" as well, though the P262 gets the 4-tool kit to the lowest pro-rated price.

For those new to the Home Depot tool "hacks" - it's simple: When Home Depot runs a "free gift with purchase promo" you buy both items, and Home Depot prorates the prices for each item on the receipt so that you can return either one individually. (Note - you cannot return individual items from within a kit - so, for instance in this case, you cannot return only the circular saw.The two items here are the 4-tool kit, and the impact driver.)

What do you call the practice of returning a new/unopened item to the store with the original receipt? That follows the HD returns policy and is completely above board. If HD wanted to prevent customers from returning gifts or discounted items for this promotion, they would either price the entire bundle under one SKU or mark the value of the free gift as $0 on the receipt. HD gets to sell off tools and clear their inventory and savvy shoppers get a great price. Everyone wins.
