If you are not after Organic then see nearest Indian grocery store. They will have ginger power for much cheaper price. Some store will also have Organic.

Not bad! But it still pales in comparison to the deal I scored a few months ago where I managed to find organic ground ginger at a ridiculous discount: $2.57/lb (after tax).

Why not just buy a whole ginger? And if you want to grind it up

Why buy the ginger? Grow it yourself

I tend to prefer things as close to their natural state, but to be fair, dried ginger is more potent (about 4x), more shelf stable, and likely cheaper and more convenient in most cases.

Inquiring minds want to know what you are going to do with 10 pounds of crazy potent, ground ginger?

Organic is an overrated term created by the food industry, especially in the US, to charge higher prices for normal food. They have accustomed us to accept substandard foods as "normal" and to pay a premium for normal (organic) foods.

In other countries (Peru, for example), most produce is organic by default, without the massive mark up.

That's not a bad thing though? Radiated doesn't mean the product is radioactive. I suggest you look up what food irradiation is.

Add to coffee- just one pinch, for sore throat or chest congestion. Just small tablespoon should suffice in coffee or tea

Just sprinkle it on fried rice while you're making it, or in curry. It goes well with many things that would use cinnamon or "pumpkin spice". For example, banana bread or apple pie.
