That depends on how cold it is where you are, how warm you will be heating a space to, the cost of electricity you pay, and how well insulated the space is. If not cold, not warm, low, and well, then quite cheap. If cold, very warm, expensive, and poorly, insanely expensive.

Basically divide the wattage by 1000, then multiply that by your cost per kWh (billed, all included) to get a good idea what it will cost to run per hour.

I got the 1000-W Wi-Fi from the last woot deal. I love it! Easy to install. Easy to set and adjust. Easy to automate with Smart Life or a compatible app.

None of the WiFi versions come with feet, and according to Heat Storm, are not even compatible with the feet if you order them separately.

These [heatstorm.com] are the feet for the 1000W non-WiFi version. (And these [heatstorm.com] for the 1500W non WiFi version.) However, due to safety restrictions, the WiFi heaters are not compatible with feet, and are not returnable if you order them and can't make them work. Basically, there are concerns that a portable floor version could be remotely activated when it's covered by a blanket, has combustible material directly in front of it, etc, and wall mounting it theoretically makes it safer.

It's the same reason why the myQ smart garage door openers have to have the annoying audible alarm every time they are remotely activated.

Does it come with feet?
Is there an option that it can be used without mounting on the wall?
Thank you.

I picked up the 1500W WiFi version during the last deal. It's worked well so far, was easy to install/mount, is relatively quiet, and uses the standard SmartLife/Tuya app and API for smarthome integration.

If you're the tinkering type, it uses a Tuya WBR3 WiFi module, which is pin compatible with an ESP12 and can be de-soldered and swapped to run Tasmota or ESPHome.

I bought the 1500W on the last deal. I'm not a heater man but my wife loves it.
It was easy to hang on the wall and it looks good.

Considered getting this in the last deal so I finally pulled the trigger.

My wife is switching to a work at home job in a couple months and the spare room she's going to use is above the garage (i.e. very cold). Hopefully this will work out!

Would one of these be overkill for a 120 square foot home office with no other heating? Right now I've been using a $20 space heater which works ok as long as it's pointed directly at me within 4 feet. I just don't like that I basically have to run it the entire time I'm working to keep things comfortable, makes me nervous.

Propane costs went crazy in 2021 so I ordered 4x of the 1000W wifi heaters - 1 for each bedroom. I set the central heat to 58 and use these to supplement each room to ~65 using the thermostat on the heater. The ability to control these with my phone is great and the programmability helps make sure that these shut themselves off once the kids head off to school. The 1000W models work great in the 12x13' bedrooms but I wish I had gone with the 1500W models for the larger rooms (16x30' and 15x15') for faster heating.

Just to give you VERY rough estimate. If it's in an insulated room/garage. You're probably looking at maybe 10-15$ a month if you plan on keeping it on 24/7 letting it regulate the temperature of the space. A shelter with paper thin walls and no insulation really depends. Could be anywhere from 25-50$

This 1500 watt (wall mounted) electric heater is going to put out same amount of heat as any other 1500 watt electric heater. Depending on the wattage of your $20 space heater, this may put out more or less heat... Some space heaters are 1800 watts.. if your space heater is a 1800 watt model, then going down to this 1500 watt heater, may be a step back.

If the space heater isn't doing the job, then this heater probably won't either.

I have this in my billiards room where we smoke cigars. It's over the garage and we keep it sealed off from the rest of the house because we smoke in there, so it's usually a lot colder than the rest of the house in the winter. Keep this set on 66-67 all the time and will crank it up to 70 wirelessly if we are going to be in the space. This thing is awesome and does a phenomenal job supplementing and keeping the 450 Sq ft space comfortable. Noticed virtually no difference on my power bills. It also looks great mounted on the wall.

Also, fwiw, iirc, mine did come with feet.
