I'm guessing here, but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the ability to dissolve oils And some things are more sensitive to different concentrations of oil, surface coatings etc.

Be aware that most alcohol wipes will eventually wipe off the coatings you paid for, like oleophobic coatings.

Yes, and that's why this uses a lower amount. My guess is 40-50%.

Trade-off but safer than 70%. Never use 99% unless it's a true emergency.

Even 50% would strip them. Possibly half of that would be ok. Whenever possible, soap and water and a cotton cloth is the best. Microfiber cloth works unless they are very oily.
