Great price on a 20 kg/44 lb rubber coated grip weight plate. I was skeptical for a couple of reasons. First, it's being sold by Wayfair (huh?). The price is far less than half of the normal price I'm finding elsewhere for other brands at similar weight. And, it's categorized on the Wayfair website under Storage & Organization > Garage & Outdoor Storage & Organization > Bike & Sport Racks > Sports Rack Bike & Sport Racks. Now that I got 2 delivered, my guess is that it's categorized this way, because they don't normally sell this type of product (didn't see any others on the website). So, this could just be a one-off until the seller runs out.

There is some kind of chemical odor that's coming off of them right now. I think it's from the rubber coating. I'll just let them air out in the garage for now. I weighed one of them and it actually came out to 45.8 lbs (scale may not be calibrated correctly).

I'm not a bro lifter... so I could care less if it's not Rogue or REP Fitness or whatever. I could not see that there is any brand marking on the product. The boxes they came in show that they're from China. So, it's probably yet another off-brand, knockoff that they flood our shores with that you can find for other product types like on Aliexpress and the like that you just have to take a chance with some hits, some misses. These appear to be solidly constructed. This type of product doesn't have numerous parts in them. I went ahead and pulled the trigger, because of the price and am pleasantly surprised that this appears to be a legit deal for all intents and purposes. Shipping took about a week from NJ to CA.

That's interesting that you mention that and I was curious... so I went ahead and measured: the plates are less than 16", closer to 15.5". You're probably right about the quality... I'm not the best one to judge on that. They seem solid enough, but are probably not the best for stacking on a power rack for squats. I'm nowhere near that point to require that kind of quality.

Great deal OP. Lowest price per pound I've seen in COVID times, especially for rubber coated (I know they're not bumpers).

edit: op you might want to add free shipping in the title or in the shipping price if there is one.

Thanks for the great suggestion. My first post of a deal on SD (noob mistake lol). I've now edited the post to indicate that shipping is free.

One thing I'm seeing is the diameter of these plates appear to be 16.5 inches not the standard 18 inches or so, so these make better add on weights if you have standard diameter plates.

Also probably not the best quality plate so better not to drop them

Otherwise weights are weights, these should be ok, go Ham

EDIT...
these are almost certainly rubber coated iron, instead of finished/painted iron.

looks like plastic coated cement/sand...

but description says primary material is metal, and the dimensions are about right for iron.

are these iron shavings in a plastic case?

These will be fine for bench presses/squats, but agree with Falcon: don't drop them.

There seem to be like 50 different company names on these types of plates, but I have some 35s from a different company and it feels the same as my Cap rubber-coated plates. Solid clunks, rubber coating. Doesn't feel like a shell or anything weird going on...of course it's a different name brand, but looks exactly like these.

Yeah, rubber-coated plates are good for keeping the noise down, better grip, and offering at least a little protection to the floor or equipment, but they definitely aren't bumper plates. I use them for deadlifts too, but just use padding where the plates hit, and I don't drop the weight from 3 feet high.

Ya, agree with your after some more clicking around.
They're solid iron, with a rubber coating, rather than finished/painted to prevent rust.
