The $30 closing fee only applies to 'Charged Off' accounts AKA accounts in delinquency. There should be no fee (that I can see in their fee schedules) for closing an account. You should be plenty fine to just close the account after you get the promo cash.

I opened an account last weekend and started a bank transfer. Truist took my other bank's money, then removed the request history. Now my money is with Truist until they decide to put it in my new empty account. It better happen this week... Rep says to wait a few days.
