Keep in mind that the Rtings review is for a 65" with an ADS/IPS panel. This 85" has a VA panel, so overall it will perform better than the Rtings review suggests... especially for movies.

Excellent price.

Local dimming, bright picture, 4xHDMI 2.1, solar charging remote, solid build quality.

For just $400 more, this is a better deal than the lg86 and Sony85 deals posted recently.

Frontpage worth deal.

Employee email address sign up or AAA membership and access via AAA discount portal by searching Samsung, then shop now and validate identity for access to discounted Samsung. So far appears to be the same as EPP program pricing.

I have the LG 86 (8000 model i think) and it looks great for sports but it looks like ass in dark movie scenes due to horrible light bleed in the upper corners. Tempted by this as I'm still in the 90 return window for sam's club

This deal is for the QN85B, but that link is for the Q80B. Two different TVs, with the Q80B sitting a tier below this QN85B.

EDIT: My bad, this deal is for the Q80B.

Which is better? LG QNED80 for $1200 or This?
This might help:

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...ld=0.10

Also, keep in mind, as another user pointed out already, this 85" panel is a VA panel, which will presumably offer better contrast and likely better brightness. But, there are no specific reviews on the 85" of this model.

this or the Hisense 85"? Just bought it last night on Amazon. Not ship until Sat so I can still cancel and purchase this instead.

I'm wondering the same if anyone can chime in. Leaning towards Hisense.

Yes! I just figured out through an old thread that AAA offers Samsung discount. I happened to be a AAA member, and got this deal! Thanks.
At least you can get something out of AAA. Don't count on them showing up to jump off or replace your battery.. ask me how I know it's a scam service..1.5 stars on trustpilot

I asked myself almost that same question. I ended up ordering the LG B2 after hours of research and questioning myself. I think the quality of picture is going to be more important in this case.
Any good deals on the b2? I've been waiting for them to drop around what they were in December 1699

Very similar TVs, this is probably better for sports though as it has higher SDR brightness. I'd lean towards the U7H for Movies as it gets brighter in HDR, and has Dolby Vision.

If you don't have a soundbar or AVR, the Samsung has better sound with 60 watts for 6 speakers in a 2.2.2 config, while the U7H has 30 watts and 2 speakers. If you watch a lot of blu-rays with a soundbar though, the U7H should have the have the sound advantage with DTS passthrough.

If your a cord-cutter in a big city, the Hisense also has an ATSC 3.0 tuner.

Ordered on 12/20 and received on 12/28. Any idea if I can pricematch?
Yes. I did the same. Jumped when it was $1539. One text exchange, and a transfer and they matched.

I am in the same boat, do you know if Sams offer return pickup or we have to bring the TV to the store? I bought it online. Thanks

OK, so what do we think? This or the 75" Neo QLED? Similar in price but 10 inch difference. Large man-cave (garage) for watching sports and movies and playing xbox. Current LG 85 is massive but returning due to poor quality. Is the Neo a significant jump in quality to sacrifice the 10 inches?
