if you're not dropping $75 there its the same $15 shipped at amazon
Got this for my 6 year old recently and she loves it. Comes with 3 premade decks, a board and damage markers, and a tutorial that walks you through playing the first few rounds step by step. It's a great option for getting somebody introduced to the game for very little cost.

The 3 places I've checked range from $14 to $16. Shipping is $5 for me and local pickup is available. This is a good deal

If it's local and you can beat shipping its a great deal. Alas the average SD won't benefit from this and it's very YMMV at beating shipping.

Got this so kids would play TCG instead of just collecting cards. Great way to learn and 3 decks gives enough variety to actually play the game and see if kids are interested in more expensive prebuilt or DIY decks.

Bought this to play with my 6 year old son this weekend. He loves Pokémon and neither of us knows how to play. Will see how it goes.

The Battle Academy is nice because it gives you a script to play through.

Yes this is a great item. My 7 year old started collecting pokemon last year and wanted to start playing the game. This gives 3 ready-to-play decks, each with one pokemon V card (which is important to kids for collecting too, cause they are strong/look cool). After playing with the decks against each other a handful of times, my son has since mixed other cards in/out and made his own decks. He's spent hours upon hours with it, either just playing against himself or against me. By far the best $10 I've spent in a long time.

Collecting on its own can pretty easily turn into a miserly hoarding hobby; I'm not a fan of that aspect. Playing the game adds alot of redeemable qualities and keeps the endless hoarding at bay.

Also if anyone is wondering, gamenerdz is very reputable, I've bought a decent number of items from them (including this). The prices are typically very good, but yes that shipping can hurt if you dont want anything to reach the $75 free shipping.

It will teach you how to play though I would watch a couple youtube tutorials too just to make sure you don't miss anything.

Are these standard cards that come with this or just cards for the game? Amazon has this in a version w/180 cards for $20 that was considering (for 7;yr old)

Got it for $10.49 on Amazon at Christmas for my son. A good way to learn to actually play the card game.

Great gateway drug. Hey, it's better than playing video games all day long.

I saw my kids getting into pokemon but I wanted them to experience it like I did, so I have since introduced them to Pokemon Firered/Leafgreen on emulator on android tablet(or PC) with an xbox controller. I've never let them play games before but I couldn't help with this nostalgic game for myself.

Now I'm considering buying this product here. 2 kids, buy 2 set? or is it like a board game where you only ever need one set like monopoly?
