Been giving Nutro to our 150-220 lb big boys for well over a decade. They reportedly have a lifespan between six and 10 years. We've not had one pass below the age of 12.5.

My dog has been on costco salmon flavor for awhile as well. Costco brand dog food is great too. Yes, it is not recommended to change dog food often. But if you do:

Day 1: 25% new diet and 75% old diet.
Day 3: 50% new diet and 50% old diet.
Day 5: 75% new diet and 25% old diet.
Day 7: 100% new diet.
