I never thought about buying dog food at Costco, I've been buying Taste of the Wild for the past 8 years. Do you know how much the Kirkland 40 lbs bags cost in-store? The reviews look great.
It varies slightly based on the flavor but in general $30 something dollars a bag.

My German shepherd seems to like this brand. I recommend it.
Thank you.My neighbor told me not to change dog food too often.I gave it the lamb flavor at first, but costco ran out of stock in the second month, so I switched to the salmon flavor, is this okay?

My dog has been on costco salmon flavor for awhile as well. Costco brand dog food is great too. Yes, it is not recommended to change dog food often. But if you do:

Day 1: 25% new diet and 75% old diet.
Day 3: 50% new diet and 50% old diet.
Day 5: 75% new diet and 25% old diet.
Day 7: 100% new diet.

Glad this deal is helpful!

Just as an aside, I *think* you might have to already be logged in to your Prime account in order to see the $20 discount coupon.
Thanks!
BTW, did you run across any cat food deals similar to this?
TIA!

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank shigro420

Coupon only applies to one bag. So, this isn't a deal worth switching your dog for.

We adopted a two-year-old stray German Shepherd 3 months ago.I buy costco brand salmon flavored or lamb flavored dog food,is this a good product?
The kirkland stuff is highly rated and I exclusively fed my dogs on it. Always had great coats and great bloodwork. I wouldn't switch to Nutro if he's doing well on it. It's a good brand but it's quite a bit more expensive at regular price than Kirkland and dog food isn't one of those things you want to keep switching based on sales as dogs tend to have a tough time transitioning from one type of food to another.

Somehow my dog wants to taste new flavor no matter what brand, when I switch to new bag, he always gets excited and eats more.

Just an FYI, I hope you've heard about the uptick in cases of dog breeds with enlarged heart illness (DCM) that normally do not have these conditions. FDA performed a study on this and while it is inconclusive, there seems to be an association with certain diets / brands. Check out the report and learn for yourself more.

The whole dog/pet food industry is a sham. Companies paying "review" sites to rank their foods higher has led to unintended consequences. It's a shame that we can't trust dog foods, review sites, youtubers, even the stores themselves.

I switched my dog back to grain-based diets and am avoiding grain-free as they typically use legumes as filler products for grains.

Will this work for a 35lbs hungry dog or do I need to wait?
