The mainly relevant information for this deal, also a dealbreaker, is that it is actually the ad-supported worst tier, which is especially awful at Peacock. That fact needs to be in the topic title.
Peacock was offering $0.99 per month (12 month plan) during the World Cup.

Not familiar with Peacock's tiering, can you explain further why it's especially awful for Peacock? I've experienced HBO Max ad-supported and Hulu ad-supported (the latter of which really sucks). Are the ads here even worse than Hulu for example?

Just a PSA again that Peacock lowest tier is permanently free for Xfinity customers
Same for Spectrum in Tampa Bay area.

Hopefully they have this deal or a similar deal again when our current year runs out. We watch Peacock pretty regularly. Right now we're watching:

Battlestar Galactica
A.P. Bio
American Pickers
Eureka
George Lopez
Night Court
Resident Alien
The Commish

soon to start:
Farscape
Grimm
Quantum Leap (original)
Sliders

It has well been worth the $20 for the year that we paid last summer.....

This is my personal opinion. I believe the ads on Peacock are less than Hulu and even the free movies from Vudu. t also does release movies from Universal to their platform before it goes to other platforms. So there may be commercials, but on some movies I have found them, at times, to front end the movie with commercials and limit or have no commercials during the movie. The commercials may be a little longer, but less interruptions. So it is a trade-off. If I remember correctly, they also had some live streaming and over Christmas had a bunch of Hallmark Christmas movies. They also had the soccer games for the world cup. So there is enough variety to have something for everybody. Would I want to spend the full amount? I would really need to think about that, but I would think about it, with commercials.

So for me:
Amazon because of the shipping
Netflix because it is cheaper because of T-Mobile
Maybe Peacock due to early release of Universal movies and NBC TV

Other services that are a question mark, but if you can get it cheap, then maybe:
HULU - I get it cheap right now, but if it was not I would potentially cancel
Disney - Content is limited for adults. My family is somewhat Marveled out.
Acorn TV - there are some good shows, but you can only watch so much.

Poker Face is the only reason I came to the thread. Trying to find a way to watch for free with no ads
We just binged the first 4 episodes last night and really like it!! We have Premium for free for 6 months from Spectrum.
The Ads were NOT bad at all like Hulu. The episodes were over an hour and only had 1 30 second and 3 1 minute Ads.. Just time to hit the head..just hit MUTE for a minute, I CANNOT watch when it's 2-3 minute Ads at a time!

Nice, thanks for the info. That doesn't sound too bad I might sign up for 1 month at the $4.99 price

Welcome and thanks but Pro Tip: Streaming with Ads is not a deal for most folks.

OH and FYI, this is NOT about playing poker like we had first thought. Though the first episode does mostly take place in a casino in Laughlin! It's different concept, THUMBS UP!

So I've seen. Oh well.

We lost our free Peacock access (from Cox) and my wife was really wanting to sign back up. I didn't want to pay full price and got excited when I saw this deal, so I thought I'd share. Might not be for most folks, but hopefully some people can benefit!

Good feedback. Makes sense. Thanks!
