Better - can be connected via Bluetooth so you don't have to use the little receiver (but still can if you prefer).

This is my all-time favorite mouse!

Just wanted to mention these help so much more than vertical mouses. I still felt pain in my wrist from using a vertical mouse but I got one of these years ago and it's so much better. It's different on how you use it and definitely not for gaming but ideal for normal use and office work

Just wanted to mention these help so much more than vertical mouses. I still felt pain in my wrist from using a vertical mouse but I got one of these years ago and it's so much better. It's different on how you use it and definitely not for gaming but ideal for normal use and office work

My old 570 stopped working. I have two so I don't have to switch the dongle between my work laptop and my personal.

If I just use the 575, I'd still have to switch Bluetooth devices lol which may take more time, but I free up a usb port

Agreed! I started with a Logitech Trackman Marble FX and use an Elecom Huge now that I've had for years. After your comment I read this comparison https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackbal...o_vs_huge/ and I think now I might need a Deft Pro instead.

I get your logic about finger sensitivity. I've never had problems using thumb trackballs for everyday tasks but i could see it not holding up in fps games vs index/middle finger trackballs.

However, i would suggest people breaking into trackballs to try the thumb first since the click fingers are the same, there's only motion to adjust to right off the bat. Some of the index/middle trackballs i tried in the beginning i constantly had issues remembering which fingers for which click and gave up on the miscellaneous (forward/back, etc.) buttons.

Obviously this is a personal choice. I've been using the thumb version for more than 20 years, including for A LOT of gaming, including FPS. I prefer it a mile over finger...I never could get used to that. Finger might be better for precision drawing over a thumb though, but I don't do that kind of thing...more thumb "flinging"...if that makes sense.

awesome for outdoor use, I use mine on an Adirondack chair arm. saves me from using the trackpad all day.

Agree. I had kind of given up on trackballs but over the years I used the logitech with center/finger position, a couple kensington ones etc. That Elecom Deft Pro looks pretty cool.

Office worker here .These are great if you get carpal tunnel. Switched to this style of mouse 4 years back and carpal tunnel never came back.
