Virginia Tech ( https://www.pubs.ext.vt.edu/SPES/...s-421.html [vt.edu] ) has a great website and Turf grass recommendations. Additionally, Virginia has a pretty good county extension program and most love to talk and give their recommendations. https://ext.vt.edu/offices.html
And finally, you can dig up samples around your yard and have Virginia Tech send you back a soil test analysis with their recommendations as to exactly what you need in your lawn vs. just applying everything! https://www.soiltest.vt
